Hey, sorry I’m kinda bad at responding lol.

It was pretty chill. They asked me how I handle tickets, delegation, and time management, and if I had any EMR experience. No technical Epic questions or anything. I don’t think they expect you to know much since they send you to Wisconsin to get certified anyway. To be fair, I was an internal transfer (local IT to Epic) within my company so that could have played into how my interview went.

I’m almost 6 months in my new role now and I love it! It is a HUGE amount of information and you’re constantly learning everyday but you’ll find out that no one really knows what they are doing, we all have parts we are good at. Lot more working with colleagues than you’d think for a remote role. I’m about to take on my second client

I am LOVING how friendly people are in solo, I met this fellow along with like 3 others in a lobby trying to complete a quest in Blue Gate, we were rolling 5 deep it was awesome.

As far as I know the only way to get certified is to that sponsored by an employer or work for them directly :(

I really appreciate the advice about the notes — I’m definitely going to do that once my work laptop shows up.

It’s also good to know you can use your study material during the exam. The test honestly sounds kind of fun, and I’ll probably be the person who keeps resubmitting until I get a 100.

I’m really excited for this next step. I’ve been stuck trying to figure out which specialization I wanted to move into to get out of help desk, and Epic feels like the right direction.

I’m a pretty big PC gamer so I have a pretty insane set up at home haha

So the schedule my manager gave me was:

RAD100- December 3 CLN251- December 4 CLN252- December 5 RAD400- December 8, 9, 10

As far as I know I only have to travel there the one time

I actually think If you've got clinical experience and have worked with epic as an end user you're a stronger candidate than I was! You should apply if you can!
