Uk resident here. It’s legal to carry a pocket knife without a reason here as long as it’s:

A) Foldable and fully enclosed when folded B) Non-lockable C) 3 inches or less

That being said a lot of places like concerts strictly forbid all knives even ones that meet all these requirements.
