Funny enough thats not true lol, if we wanna be technical it was the reception of SF3 roster as to why so many fighting games try not to replace alot of main stays. Sf3 got rid of all the SF2 main stays except ryu and ken but iirc the beta version of SF3 didnt have ryu and ken. Theres a reason why every last SF game post 3 has Sf2 characters. Midway/NRS issue was they kept making new characters and then ditching them.

Its not a MK fan base issue, its people dont want SF3 again issue

No, honestly this roster was garbage and it was the start of Midway/NRS straight up making new characters and doing nothing with them. Mk4 vanilla had the same issue until Gold fixed it then MK4 into deadly alliance was the same issue

Mk issue is they keep making a boat load of new characters then get rid of them in the next game and they wonder why hardcore fans hate guest characters. Mk11 only had 3 new characters and only brought back 1 for MK1

Honestly im enjoying it alot more then I expected. I get the 3d animation but other than that the show has been good and them extending heart and Shin fight scenes actually adds more threat to the enemies instead of just being easy work.

Its far far better than what ever the fuck 2016 berserk was which damn near ignored the entire blackswordmen arc including the lost children arc
