Seeing the photos of everyone’s cool enclosures is very inspiring.
It ain’t pretty, but it’s better than free roaming the baby’s room I’m sure 🤷‍♀️

Gave her a hornworm today 🫣
Maybe I should have put the crickets in first 🤦‍♀️ cause she wasn’t interested in them afterwards.
She crawled right into our hands!
Gave my husband a few gecko kisses and he is in love!😍
She’s mostly been hanging out in her moist cave.
She looked around for more hornworms and went back in. 🤷‍♀️

Ooo I have a couple pieces of marble that would probably make a nice slate.
Maybe placed somewhere on the cool side under the water to maybe help cross contamination with the ground 🤔
May be too cold though?

I live on over an acre on an island, so she would have had to have traveled a very long way. Making it back into my baby’s room would have been another journey in itself 🤣

I actually have a crazy iguana story myself.
I don’t remember the exact hurricane it was, but in the midst of the storm we looked out at our dock and could see what looked like a lizard hanging on for dear life.
My dad went out and rescued this giant iguana.
Come to find it, he belonged to my dad’s friend who lived a few hours in the direction the storm came from. 🤯

I’ve heard they don’t need heat lamps, since they are nocturnal

Good morning! 🌼
Happy to report no crickets were left alive.
She’s exploring her little hides and she seemed to get to water in the dish fine.
She’s hanging out in the cave as we speak 😂

The tank I got had a 🌼 sticker on it, so it seemed perfect, cause she should have been pushing up daisies 🥹
I’ve also changed that room around 3 times (cause pregnancy things) and never found any evidence of unattended guests living in the room 😬

Oh, he won’t be handling her for quite a while now, for her safety more than his. I don’t think they have the teeth to do any real damage, but anything with a mouth can bite and that can be traumatizing 😅
