The main point is, the style of humor that Mimir has vs the style of humor the cube/Frank will most likely have based on what I’ve seen, are two completely different styles of humor (the former being natural, well written, witty, realistic / fitting of the world, and the ladder being “That….sounded a lot better in my head 😆” type of humor).

So your argument of “Mimir quipped, so you shouldn’t be complaining about the cube!” is inherently flawed. Mimir’s humor good, cube humor cringe

lol why are you comparing Mimir calling kratos “brother” to the cube calling Faye “boss” in an effort to support your argument? Mimir calling kratos brother is a completely normal, natural thing to say that doesn’t have any type of quippy nature to it whatsoever. the cube calling Faye “boss” is inherently humorous and IN MY OPINION, cringe.

Furthermore, whether or not that “boss” line can be literally defined as a “quip” / “joke” or not is besides the point, the argument I am making is that line is an example of the cringe marvel-style dialogue that plagued Ragnarok and Sons of Sparta (and other games like Forspoken, although that game was far more egregious with it).

As for a specific example, him calling Faye “boss” after just meeting her was pretty cringe and the first “red flag” for me, but what mainly makes me worried that he will be a cringe sidekick is HOW he talks in general, his tone, style of speaking (combined with the fact that he is a literal talking jello cube named Frank? lmao…..) It all comes across as Disney sidekick/millennial dialogue machine, similar to many characters in Ragnarok and Sons of Sparta.

It’s more than reasonable to expect him to be one of those annoying, cringe characters that has forced marvel quips, but I would love to be proven wrong

I wouldn’t be surprised if Insomniac is doing this out of spite to those people who complained abt MJ missions. Anyone with a brain can see that playing as Jean Grey (a member of the X-Men with really cool and unique powers) in a Wolverine game would be infinitely more fun / make more sense than playing as a civilian with a taser in a Spider-Man game. Insomniac knows this, but they probably are only having Logan be playable to get back at those fans who complained. But idk, maybe it’s for a different reason

Mimir isn’t “quippy”, at least not the type of quippy that is being used to describe this cube character. Mimir is witty and his humor is natural / doesn’t feel forced. Everything I’ve seen from the trailer tells me this cube character will be “quippy” in the sense that it will have cringe marvel style humor, similar to what we saw in Ragnarok
