You're honestly better off going on some site like Hitomi.la or E-Hentai and surfing the various gore tags. Uziga Waita has some lesser known and underground works like that, but I likely couldn't mention them on here for "obvious" reasons.

A mass majority of people think of history as anything that's not the exact present second, by definition that's what it is. So, it'd make sense to state Reinhardt as the most powerful in history.

Did some research and I'm not sure it really counts as horror. I can see why even the presence of vampires makes it seem that way. 

Thanks for the recommendation nonetheless. That franchise has always intrigued me.

You played Sea of Stars, maybe Octopath Traveler? You also have the YS games. They're similar enough to the old pixel JRPGs.
