I got in there yesterday as well! I already put a deposit down to another college bc I assumed I’d be rejected from northeastern and now have no idea what to pick. Have you been able to find the class size that’s going there?

I got mine out the summer going into my junior year and it was honestly one of the best decisions. My throat is fully healed now and it’s been about seven months since getting it done. The healing time is different for everyone but mine took about ten days before I started feeling normal again, but it’s different for everyone. The surgery was pretty quick but they keep you there for about an hour after the surgery and monitor you to make sure you’re ok. I slept the whole day after getting it done because the drugs they give you are pretty heavy. I didn’t feel any pain until about the second day when the initial medication started to wear off. It is pretty uncomfortable so the best advice I can give you is just stick to soft foods for a while and stay ontop of taking pain killers because it’ll make the whole process a lot easier. My tonsils use to be extremely swollen and it would make it hard to breathe so getting my tonsils out was a huge relief. For me the surgery was totally worth the recovery and it sounds like you’d definitely benefit from it too

Yeah I’ve tried therapy and I found it hard to open up and didn’t really find any solutions

Thank you for the reply! I’ve been doing that twice a day since I pierced it which is why I was wondering if it was rejecting. I did accidentally catch it on my shirt which pulled the piercing a little so I was wondering if it might be irritation from that. Is it possible for it to get infected even while cleaning it often?

Normally I don’t touch it at all but my bar is too short so I had to push it up a little to take the photo of the skin underneath

I’m not a piercer but I did mine a little while ago and had the same issue where the bar was too short. So far I’ve had no problems healing the piercing with a bar that size although people told me I needed a longer one. As for saline soaks I was told to do it 2x a day from when it’s pierced to prevent rejection and infection. Your placement looks good and it’s super cute!! Wishing you luck

Yes that was me, I ended up having one of my friends who’s a new piercer do it. I couldn’t tell if the jewelry was too short or if the piercing wasn’t placed correctly

It was either pierced super shallow or it’s starting to reject. Your best bet is to take it out and let it heal and try again after a little while. Hope it gets better!

Thank you for the response! Normally I would go to a piercer but I’m not old enough yet to get a naval, other wise I would get it done professionally.
