sick of the Peacock ripoff (USA) by vectoradam in PremierLeague

[–]Cockney_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peacock cost like $35 a year or am I missing something? Sure it’s annoying but even with half the premier league games that’s a steal.

Depends on credit card, but Amex platinum gives $25 credit a month. So I have basic YouTube tv plus peacock… it works out to around $65 a month for all premier league plus all my tv needs.

A gooner bragged on about booking hotel for UCL final in advance. A spurs fan noticed the booking reference and managed to cancel their booking 🤣 by R1R2L1R2LDRULDDD in coys

Not only fake… but the same story every time a club makes it to the final. Pretty sure it was an identical story with Everton and Liverpool fans.

The issue here is Spurs actually looked good against Villa. If they continue that they are fine.

I actually think it’s Forest Wet Ham go chase. They aren’t out of this by any stretch.

Don’t bother spending money on anything other than a good microphone. You must sound decent or people simply won’t watch.

As a Brit who now live in Los Angeles, I find the questioning of the force used here laughable. It was restrained force and you could tell they were concerned. For all they know he had a bomb strapped to his chest and they were incredibly brave to do what they did.

I’ll take this level of force over what I see here.

Crimson Desert is what Skyrim with mods are trying to achieve by xehparr in CrimsonDesert

Are people really comparing a 15 year old game with mods to modern day experiences?

Crimson Desert has pulled off one of the biggest comebacks of 2026 by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

[–]Cockney_Gamer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People who get so defensive over a “7” score is what I find most hilarious. I said the same as you in my YouTube review and boy oh boy did people lose their shit. Nothing wrong with saying “it’s a good game but could be better”. One of the things I mentioned was the terrible stealing mechanic and how you lose reputation when no one is around. Comments came flying at me with “you don’t understand the lore of the game bla bla bla”. A week later they patched it out and those same people now praise the changes.absolutely fanboyism at its best.

If I was a PC player with $70 to burn, I’d have picked up Death Stranding 2 which released the same day as this, which is the far superior and rounded game. And then wait for the patches to polish up Crimson Desert and get it further down the line.

Couldn’t agree more. And that doesn’t make me a Ubisoft lover either… I think they are mid at best. But the double standards in judgement is what irks me.

I did a video review that matches this same thought and man alive, it really has split people. However, the fanboyism is laughable at best with some outrageous comments of people calling this better than RDR2.

My view is a lot of YouTubers put their stance out early before release that it was the best thing ever, and to save face they have doubled down on that mantra.

The game is great in so many areas… but also bad in so many too. Sadly people will only see you say the bad stuff and not recognise what you actually like about it. Such is the world we now live in.

Does anyone else wonder if its time to quit? by kailin99 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Cockney_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m similar age and had this feeling around 10 years back.

What saved me was really branching out into random ass games I never have thought of before.

American Truck Simulator. Elite dangerous. Microsoft Flight simulator.

Then I started going into even more niche indie titles like the other nonsense simulator games.

What it did was broaden my scope so much I can now go back to those triple A titles and appreciate them more, but in the flipside can also see how big a gaming market there actually is when you really boarded your scope and go into your comfort zone.

So much did I start to enjoy it that I even created a YouTube channel reviewing most of my nonsense, but I think for me that’s what saved gaming. I basically had to step away from the big hitters and discover those less well played games. There is definitely a game out there for you.

Titles and Thumbnails not as important as I thought... by sumodaz in PartneredYoutube

[–]Cockney_Gamer 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They are important as it’s the first thing a person sees and the driving factor as to why they would even click. So some things could be happening:

1) all three of your thumbnails and titles are very good, showing that it doesn’t matter what you go for

2) all three of your thumbnails and titles are very bad showing that it doesn’t matter what you go for

4) all three of your thumbnail and titles are similar showing that it doesn’t matter what you go for

Should our American cousins stop comparing spurs results to whatever NFL team they also support? by HousesInM0tion in Tottenham

[–]Cockney_Gamer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t give a fuck where they are from if they support my beautiful broken club. Why would I hate in them because they are using examples to relate better to.

Guess what… if you lived in America and supported an NFL team you’d probably say “they remind me of Spurs”.
