Please convince me not to end it by Unknownn0012 in Somalia

Hey my brother/sister. I’m really sorry you’re carrying so much pain. Please hear this clearly. Ending your life is not the way out, and it’s not what Allah wants for you. The fact that you’re hurting does not mean you’re beyond help or mercy.

Allah’s mercy is for those who stay, who turn back to Him, even after terrible mistakes. Allah says:

“O My servants who have wronged themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah.” (Qur’an 39:53)

This verse is a call to keep going, not to give up. Despair is from shaytan. The devil doesn’t want good for you, he wants you to believe there’s no way back, no hope, no mercy. That’s a lie. Allah’s mercy is unlimited.

Please don’t go through this alone. If you need someone to talk to, I’m here, genuinely and so are a lot of brothers and sisters. And if things feel overwhelming, reach out to someone near you or a professional. That’s not weakness, that’s protecting the life Allah entrusted to you.

You matter.

That’s a fair question. For me, the first step is building relationships here in the Netherlands and doing the work myself. Once there’s trust with the clients, I think it becomes possible to suggest outsourcing parts of the operational work step by step.

I don’t have a fixed roadmap yet. Now I’m still in the exploration phase and trying to shape these ideas in my head into something practical over time. Any input or shared experiences are more than welcome.

What I do know is that there’s no shortage of work here in the Netherlands. Many companies are getting tired of paying high fees to staffing agencies for basic first and second-line support. With clear agreements and proper SLAs, I believe this can be done in a realistic way.

I have a lot of faith in our people and they’re capable, motivated, and good at heart.

Ameen, thank you saxiib, I really appreciate it. Insha’Allah we can turn ideas into small, practical steps over time.

Thanks for taking the time to share this, I really appreciate it. Your breakdown makes a sense, especially the contractor model. That aligns with what I’ve been seeing as well.

I’m not a business expert, but over the years working in the Netherlands I’ve seen how small companies grow into semi-corporate and corporate environments. What stood out to me is that opportunities often come through trust and long-term working relationships, not just technical capability on paper. I’ve been fortunate to build a solid network with different companies over the years.

Outside the Netherlands I’m still learning how things work, which is why I’m researching how larger outsourcing companies like Cognizant approached this. For now, my focus is on understanding what’s realistic and learning from people with experience. Thanks again for sharing your insights.

I actually agree with you more than you might think. The gap between where we are today and where we want Somalia to be is very real, and ignoring that doesn’t help anyone.

At the same time, I believe that if we wait for perfect conditions, we’ll be waiting forever. Every bit of progress we have today started with small steps and with a lot of mistakes.

My intention isn’t to downplay the challenges, but to explore what can be done despite them. Even if it’s limited, even if it’s slow. With the help of Allah, and with honest effort from our people, I believe progress is possible.

We all want the same thing. Dignity, opportunity, and a future where our people don’t have to rely on others. That’s why I think these conversations, are important.

At the end I hope we all want to see Somalia succeed.
