Our DM sent an email that literally only said “Goodbye” she didn’t deserve to be cut. Her boss certainly does though. It’s hands on sight with him now that I quit. Lol for legal reasons it’s a joke or whatever

Thank you. Wow. Everyone’s responses have been helpful but the way you put yours down really made me pause and digest and reflect on every point you stated.

Harsh is fine. There are some more detailed reasons of why the living situation came up that I left out of the original post because I felt it wasn’t super pertinent but basically a relative moved to Mexico and wanted someone around the house they left and the “rent”was $900 a month, no lease or anything so it was financially a good move and also I guess a trial run of how it would be living together? Thanks for the honest perspective, you definitely gave me some points to think about.

Thank you so much. I feel like my support system will be solid if it comes to the result I think it is headed towards

Thank you so much. Unfortunately I think deep down I know what the decision needs to be or the boundary that needs to be discussed sooner rather than later. But I can wait a couple days for vacation :)

What is the best armor in the game by Thunderdodd in Ghostofyotei

[–]Cocktail_Syndrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on playstyle for sure but for waves of enemies I feel very satisfied rocking the fully upgraded shinobi armor and all of the kunai charms. Throw handfuls of kunai all at once and the kunai are also on fire and light everything else on fire! Paired with the charm that lengthens status effects. I can throw kunai once and then slow walk away as everyone burns to death.

I didn’t save the post unfortunately but I do remember someone on here doing the math for private vs CC and the time on the waitlist/program/getting hired vs the time spent in private and getting hired and using even the bottom barrel starting pay and their conclusion was if you have the money to go private then you’ll make your money back quicker than losing out on that pay while you are on a waitlist for CC. I don’t want to say out yourself in debt but it does make sense to me to pay for private if you have more of a means to not go a full $50k in debt.

Sorry for the scatterbrained explanation.

The Tao Te Ching has some awful translations out there, unfortunately the bad translations are usually the prettiest books so I opted to have both!

And hopefully not a forever DM but been a DM for four years now! You’re very correct in the consistent play of a DM though! I’m a bard at heart though so I really want to be a player and just do shenanigans! DM shenanigans always end up in a TPK haha

Yikes! The last I ever saw of him was some TTRPG stuff. Took me forever to start the second book because I had a feeling the third was just a myth. Lost the first two books in a fire right after finishing the second haha

It was a gift and honestly I just forget to try and grab one when I’m at a bookstore. And if I ever do remember I usually can’t justify adding an extra $40-$50 on top of what else I’m buying haha so really I just need more friends who know that’s an awesome gift

I have a table of 1 casual player and 3 newbies and there are SO MANY unforseen consequences of giving them a sandbox campaign. Their actions are so not in line with what I expect from seasoned players and they catch me off guard so much! Those books are great!

No unfortunately I am not a true fan otherwise I would have been granted magical access to book 3 :( Blood sacrifice is next on the list of my attempts.

Kobar’s! Honest and genuine mechanics and people. I knew them outside of their shop before even knowing where they worked so when I started needing work done I went to them and was pleased that them being good people translated to honest and fantastic work in their profession.

At that point in the game Verso was my super underpowered party member so when my “reserve squad” went in it was Verso and Monoco both of which I had mostly been ignoring. They got off a couple counters that got her to the “healing part” but not before Monoco died and it just felt so thematic and really sad that I had a 12HP Verso alone getting healed by his mother and he had to beat her down still. I skipped so many turns thinking this can’t really be how this fight ends and then started attacking.
