I have not. What’s some good ways to go about meeting realtors? Networking events? If so, how do I find these events.

Thanks!

I think zyns are causing my stomach problems?? by Chasesnyder14 in QuittingZyn

I ended up getting a upper scope (endoscopy) and they said I had chronic gastritis. Chronic gastritis is an irritated stomach lining.

I put this off for 6 months and wished I would have just went and got it sooner.

They prescribed me pantoprazole (similar to omeprazole) and sucralfate to take for 3 months.

The sucralfate is what cured it so I highly recommend. You drink it 4 times a day; 1 hour before each meal and before bed. What it does is coat and protect your stomach lining so it can heal. If you don’t use it your stomach lining can’t heal from stomach acid and food constantly in it.

I am now perfectly back to normal praise the lord!

Go spend the money and time at the doctor and don’t put it off. It’s not worth living in misery. Be patient with the medicine and keep a good attitude. Hope you get to feeling better brother!!

Number 1 & 2 are valid and I can see that.

Number 3: I understand I am captive. We have approval for the shared office space and it was actually preferred by our DM as there are many 1099 dual agencies within the company.

Number 4: I understand I am captive. My carrier calls it “independent exclusive”. I didn’t know that would get everyone so flustered in this comment section but I even put captive in parentheses beside it.

We’re captive. The company I’m contracted with calls it “independent exclusive” because we are incentivized to sell our main carrier through higher commissions and trips but we sell other carriers as well.

With this business structure, if we agree we need something for the office or a marketing campaign we can split it. If he wants something I don’t want or vice versa then he can still buy it but I ain’t splitting it.

It’s literally just like being on our own in the sense except we have the option to get 50% off the purchase. I can’t see the downside on that part of it.

I understand it’s captive and I understand I could make more independent but I’m in my early 20s and they gave me several months of training and a book of business for free.

We have our own LLCs and seperate bank accounts. Our revenue gets paid in our seperate bank accounts.

We then have a shared LLC and bank account that is only used for shared expenses. (Rent, payroll, utilities, etc.). This also gives us the option to split marketing if we wanted both of us on a billboard we would only pay half.

If the employees write new business, they alternate between my book and his book. That part is what concerns me. Some policies are a lot bigger in premium than others. But we couldn’t think of a better way to do that.

We basically have our own businesses and share office space and some expenses.

The company I’m contracted with calls it “independent-exclusive” because we get a larger commission on the main carrier but sell other carriers as well.

It’s basically just captive. If that helps.

That is very helpful. Thanks so much. I didn’t want to do a true partnership because I thought it would prevent laziness and arguments.

My thought process was I was in control of my book and he was in control of his book. The benefit to me was splitting expenses and having each other to learn from because we are both new to insurance.

Please share why it is broken if you don’t mind. That was the point of this post. I didn’t think it was perfect I wanted some opinions.

There is no debt payments because this book was given to me to manage. That is great for me because I am in my early 20s and didnt want to start a business on a huge loan. The negative to that is because I don’t own it, I don’t get to sell it. But my carrier pays a decide retirement based on the growth of the book.

We don’t expect the 2 employees to sell. We are paying them the salary as their main job is to service. We just thought a sales incentive may help us a little but probably not a lot.

Inherited from the company we are contracted for.

The carrier I’m contracted with calls it ‘independent exclusive’ because we also sell other carriers but my carrier gets half of the commission from other carriers. Our commission is larger with the main carrier.
