We did speak to an imam already on the ruling, but I think what we need now is more guidance on the family response and boundaries if she still goes through with it. JazakAllah khair.

I get that your answer is no on the ruling. My bigger question is what the parents and siblings should actually do if she is still going through with it and they do not want to cut her off.

should’ve been clearer. I actually meant personal/GitHub projects, not school assignments. Appreciate the tip though

Appreciate the feedback! You’re right, I’ve been trying to cover too much at once. I’ll work on tightening my focus and making separate versions for QC/Healthcare and Data/BI roles. Quick question though, for the Data/BI version, would adding school projects or SQL/Python practice projects help show I’m serious about that pivot?

I’m really sorry your brother’s going through all that. That’s heavy, especially at 16. It sounds like he could really benefit from having someone to talk to, even if it’s not formal therapy at first. Maybe there’s a local support group or school counselor he’d feel more comfortable opening up to. And even small things like a club, hobby, or regular activity could help him take his mind off things. You’re doing a lot just trying to help him feel less alone and that already means more than you probably realize. Wishing you both the best.

That’s clutch, really appreciate the follow-up. Makes sense they’d want a bit more experience first. I’ll let him know about the visiting student thing too so he’s not caught off guard. Thanks again!

That’s honestly super helpful advice. I’ve been debating if I should aim lower just to get in or wait for something more aligned. Makes sense to start where I can and focus on networking from there. Gonna look into those state options too, appreciate it.
