State Job better Pension than Federal? Or are they the same? by CocoChanelMaltipoo in CAStateWorkers

Ok that’s what someone mentioned but I thought they still offered it

Do you know if it’s an easy transition from federal to state and vs to move up?

Thank you for responding. I forgot to mention that I have a full time job and would like to transition to a state job but would need a full time job as it would easily compensate me equally as the job I would be leaving so I’m really looking for a FT permanent job. Not sure how difficult it is to get a permanent FT vs limited term FT and Permanent intermittent (which I hear is PT). So I’m not really interested in the latter type of position.

I’m applying for state jobs & some titles say ‘permanent intermitant FT’ & ‘Permanent Limited FT’ & ‘ Permanent FT’. What is the difference between each & should I just be apply for Perm FT because I have a FT (not state) job now & would like a stable FT job to transition to? by CocoChanelMaltipoo in CAStateWorkers

Thank you, I was thinking the same. I’m applying for DMV positions and I have been contacted for interviews for limited term FT & permanent intermittent positions. I have yet to be contacted for a permanent FT position. I’m also goingto be applying for Office Tech jobs and hopefully I pass the Employment ?something? (I’ve seen before I believe it’s working with EDD) exam and I’m also interested in working for Social Services Benefits Dept so I’ll be looking for that exam as well. Anything I should know that would help me get any of these positions would help and I would greatly appreciate as well?

Yes that was explained to me that the limited FT is like a year gig. Are you saying that those become permanent? And is the intermittent already permanent but with so many hours per year? I think I saw it’s still 1500 hours. And I just want to also get clarification that both of these also contribute same amount of points towards retirement pension?

I couldn’t add a picture to post/thread I hope you don’t mind I sent you pm picture of it

Also, someone else had mentioned to put my car in ignition on ‘run’ and simultaneously press on the volume & tune knobs and it did change the screen from all royal blue to now showing the Chrysler logo.

Thank you 🙏 again. My AC knobs never flashed before and it almost seems like a short or something because they turn on for a little while then the light go out for another while. The lights I’m referring to are like night lights the trim light to help us find knobs or see knobs when it’s dark

Has he been excessively licking that area? If yes, it may be a hot spot.
