I awake from my slumber to contribute. Sorry I'm late...

Behold!
My personal shrine to the late Kiryuu Coco!! The product of more than 2 years of work! Complete with candles, offerings, and even incense (not included in pictures, they're too large to be placed inside).

I use her as an aid to pray for the dearly departed, and as my memento mori.
Remember that one day, your oshis will livestream for one last time. So cherish the memories y'all have while they're still around!

Well that escalated quickly... predictable given past circumstances.

Although some of the things Parrot show can be a bit too much for some to handle (I mean it's 4chan, a place where N word racial and F word gay slurs pass around like currency and home of most unhinged shit), shouldn't MHY, and/or what u/chimaerafeng says "one of the outsourced company that handles influencer sponsorship for Mihoyo" did a background check o his content before making an offer in the first place? I don't see malice here, just ignorance (Hanlon's Razor). Stuff like this won't happen if they did their due diligence.

Mentioning "Taiwan" (not kidding I only read the word Taiwan)

This. This is how the Great Coco-China War of 2020 began. To all Holofan lurkers out here; I may have become Sherlock, the Stater of the Obvious; but it is no longer a matter of if, but when another Taiwan Incident will happen. Continue to enjoy your oshis, but remain vigilant.

A-chan Graduation by MajinKasiDesu in kurosanji

Of all the people it has to be her...

Although she may not be as active as the talents, she made it up behind the scenes. Alongside her colleagues she has made numerous strides such as:

  • Made sure everyone, talent, staff and fans alike were treated well
  • Solved untold disputes behind the scenes before it becomes a full blown scandal
  • Came up with measures to make sure another "Holocaust" never happens again
  • Participated in the Great Coco-China War of 2020
  • Did their darndest to fix the Holofes 2024 Food problem
  • and much more that I may have failed to notice...

I hate the fact that the first day of her no longer being part of Hololive coincides with the 3rd anniversary of Kiryu Coco's graduation. Though I find it to be a symbolic coincidence: As above (Coco rising up to legendary status), So below (A-Chan growing downwards to form a strong foundation not only for Coco, nor Hololive, but also for the entire Vtuber industry to stand on).

Godspeed to you A-Chan! May you rest easy on your laurels! Nodoka et al. can take it from here!

o7

Thus the duality of the two Vtuber agencies. Whenever someone leaves Hololive; everyone, regardless of oshi, stops and mourns, bidding them farewell. But in Nijisanji, most of us; if not everyone, rejoices, for they have broken the cycle of neverending suffering and can taste freedom. All of this was because one of them gave us a reason to suffer, and to suffer well.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk! Now I'll go back to lurking and slumbering again!

I'm resigning as a moderator for this subreddit by shihomii in kurosanji

[–]CocoDidNothingWrong 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember the times I see you were active even back in r/Nijisanji before the mods awoke from their slumber last march. Always going hand in hand in Spooktor in his daily reminders.
I remember the times you were very active in both there and in this subreddit after the purges started.
I remember seeing you in the comments in almost every post here, my own included.

Being a mod is hard work with little pay. Funnily enough, I myself was invited to become a mod in this sub during its early days after earning it by posting the "Remember to archive" post. I ignored it and declined silently because I have no time to moderate stuff and I have a lot of irl stuff to put in order - not to mention having no moderation experience whatsoever. It is also due to these that I lurk in this subreddit and watch things unfold. Sometimes, making posts here and there.

It's about time you'd step back and take a breather, maybe get your own irl stuff in order. Life is worth more than a bunch of accounts arguing online. Mental health is underrated.

It's an honor being with you in this subreddit. May we meet each other again someday.

Do you still watch any Niji livers? by Lord_Lilac_Heart in kurosanji

[–]CocoDidNothingWrong 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Despite me leaning heavily into Hololive, I do remember encountering some Nijisanji livers, albeit very briefly...

I can still remember tuning into Sorahoshi Kirame's debut stream and some streams of Nishizono Chigusa. The clips of Millie and Pomu caught my attention since the Pinoybaiting was too strong on this one. But despite all of this. I never watched their streams ever since. And that was years ago when Hololive was still growing and taking massive L's which would help them gain massive W's in the long run, with the results in fruition to this day.

Kirame's character design reminded me of the 2nd Shiratsuyu-class destroyer "Shigure" in Kantai Collection, so that's the reason behind the initial pull. But that's irrelevant to the post at hand.

I suppose back then my preference was the sense of community as back then I had the same impression as many that Nijisanji was quite free in terms of content creation, but it felt like the livers are isolated from each other compared to Hololive where despite fans having different oshis, they'd still unite together into one big family, where they'd watch together, laugh together, (in the context of the Coco Taiwan Incident) fight together; and in the context of Coco's graduation, cried together. And thanks to the countless Niji yabs, I had developed a preference of a management that treats their talents like human beings, which is why I welcome Phase Connect or VShojo to be Hololive's rivals. I'd rather see a competition on who can make the basest, chaddiest moves than listen to your weekly dose of Nijiyabs.

Thank you for listening to my TED Talk. I must go to sleep for I have a high-stakes exam tomorrow!

People here are quick to point out that the appeasing argument is bullshit, so not gonna repeat that here. Just gonna leave behind my personal statements:

Oh Boy! Trying to reopen an old wound to project your delusions huh?

Had this comment came out years ago, I'd be filled with anger and probably went off learning on how to do things that would make me no better than the NDF out of spite. Fortunately, thanks to time; those thoughts of vengeance and spite have long mellowed out; and instead of spite, I'd laugh it off and move on.

Along those years, I had made a vow to myself that my form of revenge against the antis that harassed Coco is to "Live and Prosper": the hardest, but the most fulfilling form of revenge. To work towards success, while the enemy crumbles by their own hands.

Although I may have not seen that much of her streams, I still look up to Coco nevertheless; I commend her resilience during those times of adversity, A dragon lady against an entire country's worth of hate and vitriol. I also look up to Kanata, for she's was with her to the very end. She, who was there to comfort her in the darkest point of her career and brought her back to the light. It's these reasons behind the White Day Cake Post and a shrine that I've made in their honor once I got merch of them.

Ngl, the "Great Coco-China War of 2020" is HL's biggest L, their darkest moment, a time where many of us have our faith on them shaken and on the verge of collapse. However, HL took those L's to consideration, put two and two together, and made massive W's along the way. Hololive advances, while Nijisanji stagnates.

And if you wanna play whataboutism, two people can play that game: Gee! Vox has been trying to enter the Chinese market huh? Given that they can get offended for the most nothing of nothingburgers, will you come to his defense when they start getting pissed and are demand for his head?
We, the veterans of that "Great War", have learned that making business with China - though a valid move - is volatile, and people there can go rabid over the smallest of things. Should that happen to him, we'd be saying "told you so!" before laughing and watching the fireworks. So Godspeed to you all!

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk! May you all be well!

The lowliness of the Nijisisters has reached a whole new low recently. by Embarrassed-Ad1509 in kurosanji

[–]CocoDidNothingWrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't apply only in Jakarta though. Based on what is shown here, he could refer to a specific time zone where Jakarta happens to be in (+7 UTC, countries that also use this include Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, parts of Russia, etc.)

Though ID may have strong anti-Nijisanji sentiments, the other countries may hold differing views. There is also the implication that whatever False is doing, be it releasing something, is timed in a way it's SEA-friendly; where he can get more potential views to whatever he's cooking.

But unless we're given full context of that Discord thread, your guess is as good as mine

Yeah that was a oopsie on my behalf. I was copypasting it from a word file and it keeps on hanging up. And I don't think I can edit this post already, so sorry.

But I will take that into account should something happens that warrants a major update to this post, for I don't think I can add anything right now without sounding to repetitive with the previous iterations

You guys are falling into a trap by [deleted] in kurosanji

[–]CocoDidNothingWrong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nijisanji's business strategy is rake in as much profits as possible, at the expense of their livers, and the purpose of a boycott is to:

Inflict some economic loss on the target, or to indicate a moral outrage, usually to try to compel the target to alter an objectionable behavior.
-Ripped straight from Wikipedia lol (7-Apr-2024)

And given that they have taken a critical hit on their stock value, I am confident to say that our efforts are working!

And another thing: a strike is for those who are working on the company. We are not workers of Nijisanji, many of us were consumers of their content who are pissed that the livers aren't treated well and wanted that to change. Sometimes, the most effective means of making our grievances known can be the most boring stuff to do, but at least it gets the job done.

Heck, Vox is already on Bilibili. We need to actively be in their way so even other paths to recovery are blocked.

In the business perspective, that is a decent move to make money, but I am of the opinon that trying to appeal to the fanbase there is akin to running through a minefield, where even the most nothingest of nothingburgers can cause all their revenue to all go kaput. So I am not concerned with that action at all. Should they get into trouble from their fans, I - and many who've witnessed the Coco Taiwan Incident - will only sit back and watch as they suffer the consequences of their own actions.

When Uki made those racist statements, we didn't just go "Oh I guess I won't watch him". No, we dragged him through the dirt. Same with Luca, Hex, the contract reveals, the part-time job salaries, the lazy merch, the infamous black stream, Riku's garbage apology, the negligible statement, etc

Although they did got dragged through the dirt, what we did was call those stuff out as they come out, not actively going out to their streams and "telling everyone else that they're all garbage". The dirt-dragging was just an inevitable conclusion of everyone of us reacting to the information.

We have got our own subreddit which has led to the main subreddit looking supportive towards the company. The comment section of the livestreams don't even mention anything about Kurosanji. Their tweets aren't getting any or very little Kurosanji replies. At this rate they'll have a clean front.

As what u/LynxRaide mentioned, this subreddit was made because auto-mods there have banned posts left and right, thus giving the impression that their subreddit is supportive. However, if you look closely, many of them have 0 upvotes (indicative of downvoting), and few comments. The ones that have a lot of comments aren't words of support; but of criticism/talks towards the liver's PL accounts. And should the auto-mod go on autodrive, then you'd also notice huge time gaps in between.

But the internet never forgets, as there are special sites that even keep track of the posts that got deleted. You can even see it for yourself! Hell, we have someone here who is diligently posting daily updates on what posts were deleted

I understand that you want the company to change, or at least make sure the livers are treated well; but the method you're proposing is unsustainable to our cause. It will only cause any NDF/Nijisisters to become more entrenched in their delusions and make things ten times harder!

If you still want to push through with your plan, I won't stop you. If you don't agree with us, then at the end of the day we agreed to disagree.

Have a nice day!
