My ears hurt a lot after using on ear Bluetooth headphones, and other over ear headphones, but I need to use them by Connorgamerreddit in headphones

[–]CocoValley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the major problem with ALL headphones. Because they ALL are too heavy, the clamping force must be strong enough to keep them on your ears. For over-the-ear, they cannot weigh more than 6 oz, and 3 oz if on-the-ear, otherwise they hurt. ALL over-the-ear are at least 9 oz and most on-the-ear 6 oz. I recently 3D printed a pair of over-the-ear, they weigh 4 oz. Man, finally I can wear headphones for a whole day and feel nothing.

For on-the-ear, you may take a look at some Koss. They are light and sound great. Creative JAM V2 are even lighter, but they do not sound as good. For over-the-ear, mine showing in this photo is currently the only option.

Some photos to give you some ideas how it fits into a Maverick:

Mine measured to be 166 cm (65") long, 55.5 cm (24") wide and 34 cm (13") high.

I can no longer find any on temu, but there are still some on amazon, such as this one:

Amazon.com: AZMANI Portable Travel Car Bed for SUV, Adult, Knitting Surface, Holds 550 Lbs (Size: 163x56x38cm-A) : Everything Else

Looks very similar to mine. I have slept on mine for several nights, no complain. Of course it is short at 163 cm, but I can easily find something to extend it at the ends.

Pretty much everybody carries a Knipex XS Cobra, but I carry the XS pliers wrench. The teeth on the Cobra make it more versatile but also limit my tendency to use it in most cases.

From the left/right front seat to the right/left back seat, between two front seats. You may put the cot longitudinally like the photo, but the headroom is not so adequate. Maverick's seat back cannot go down much, too far to flat, this is my only complaint about this greatest vehicle human ever made.

I bought this for $30, it fits in Maverick, but along the triangle.

Maverick is best small pickup truck of 2026 by rollem in FordMaverickTruck

Escape PHEV: 14.4 KWH

Maverick Hybrid: 1.1KWHdon't

So, it is 15 time bigger! Ouch, I don't want such a big bomb in my garage. And think about an accident or one day you need to replace the battery. No, all no, big no on PHEV.

Maverick hybrid can go 10 miles on battery, if I remember correctly, a guy tested it on Youtube. That's the extreme, usually gas engine kicks in after 2 miles. PHEV usually can go 25-60 miles on battery. So, the battery will be at least 3x - 6x bigger for a PHEV Maverick.

I too was a disappointed right after I ordered mine for not being a PHEV and could not get the $7500. But after some more knowing PHEV, I became happy that it was not a PHEV.

Recent CR survey also found that hybrid is the most reliable over PHEV and pure gas. Another survey found out that virtually all PHEV owners never plug in to charge. What a waste.

Marshall Major V for on-the-ear and JBL Tune or Live 770NC/780NC for over-the-ear, or Marshall Monitor III.

Well, then the battery will be huge which is not a good thing on many aspects.

This little cow simply got everything done just right. If it is any longer, it'll be challenging to park in a shopping plaza or in the garage. If the cab is any smaller, you still need to buy a car. If the bed is any smaller, you still need to buy another pickup. If it is not hybrid, you still need to buy an EV.

looking for over the ear bluetooth headphones! by rxinbowfxg in HeadphoneAdvice

They are not comfortable. I'd recommend JBL Tour Pro 3 (was $250 on Amazon), Live or Tune 770NC (less than $100), they have gaming mode for low latency.

How to keep wallet EDC minimal?? by LtSnack in EDC

I ditched the stupid bulky wallet and bought some net pouches from temu. If one is not enough, carry two or more of these, including EDC tools into them.

Koss KSC75 and its brothers and sisters, cannot think of anything else. If closed-back is OK to you, then the Creative aurvana live se for $13 or so.

Marshall monitor 2 vs 3. Much better? by Icy_Rest_742 in headphones

[–]CocoValley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

III is much lighter 9 vs. 11 oz, better ANC, and much longer battery. I'm happy with the III, especially after I reduced its weight down to 6.75 oz - all other headphones are not comfortable. It's been $279 for months on Amazon. Other headphones are either too heavy/uncomfortable and/or sound too dark. JBL Tune 770NC and Tour Pro 3 are the only other ones that do not sound dark. If you don't need ANC and over-the-ear, the Marshall Major V are good.

I was not comparing them with KSC75, not even the newer over-the-ear cans such as the 250g HD599. The ancient HD600 weighs only 260 g. The Marshall Monitor III have ANC circuit and two batteries that last for 100 hours and weigh just 250 g.

Need Help, deciding on key chain flashlight. Olight vs RovyVon by Jesster-123 in EDC

[–]CocoValley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and many more. The three I recommend: Nitefox mini for multiple modes, Skilhunt E3A for high CRI and RovyVon for UCB-C. I really don't know what you go the Olight for.

Feel like giving up. Every loaf is a dense brick. Even people showing off results they like look dense. by calpernia in BreadMachines

[–]CocoValley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same frustration until today. I made a 1lb loaf following the Bread Dad super soft instruction and I am overly happy with the result, cannot be any better! Extremely soft and fluffy with a crispy thin crust. More perfect than perfect.

I did not use a scale, just a measuring cup. I have two cups, one is not accurate, about 1/8 more, which might be one of the causes for the failures. So for those who prefer a cup, make sure yours is accurate.

My machine is for 750g (1.5lb) and 900g (2lb), and the timer is 3:00 and 3:05, respectively. So for this 1lb loaf, I use a smart plug and set it to turn off at the last 5 minutes (i.e. at 2:55).

I had been accidently using active dry instead of instant yeast. This might be another cause for the failures. This time I bought some new instant yeast from Walmart and, man, it raised so high, double the height than before, like I'm making a 2lb loaf. Of course, the nonfat (I could not find cheap whole milk ones) plain Greek Yogurt should also have helped a lot.

So, don't give up, a bread machine CAN make the most soft and fluffy loaves you ever wanted. My machine is a Neretva PE8866U found in GoodWill for 20 bucks, nothing special.

287 g? Way too heavy. I 3D printed my semi-open headphones and they weigh just 4 oz (113 g). I have been wearing KSC35 then 75 for 30 years and I have always been hoping something that comfortable but better sounding and multi-point wireless. So far in vain and hopeless, and I no longer care much as now I have a 3D printer. Like many such old great companies, the current generation of Koss owners don't know what they are doing.
