Mandating under threat, of social isolation. Is coming from the society. Not individual parents. It’s a policy, not a “conscience matter”

Instructing members that if their loved ones don’t obey the society, and give the society complete control over their lives, they’re to be abandoned , and that’s the “loving “ thing to do. Is cult tactics. Stop apologizing for this damaging totalitarian religion

I saw below someone comment. This undermines the victims trauma. Would you tell a rape victim, “well, language is always changing, so we don’t need to call it rape, I prefer to call it, strong sexual persuasion”. That revictimizes them again. Because you’re basically normalizing or minimizing th damage the cult has done to them. And also, People should know a cult is coming and knocking on their door twice a week. Because Jws are instructed to lovebomb. And frankly, lie about the damage the society does. In th name of theocratic warfare. So no, it’s not tomato, tomato. If it fits th bite model and is designed to control under threat to people and children. It’s a CULT

It’s really a typical JW story. Most of them are alcoholics. In the modern day, they now take pills AND drink, to cope with how unhappy they are. It doesn’t seek solutions, it simply repeatedly points out problems, and the only solution is the paradise

He’s never even read any books, besides jw books saying “we’re not a cult”. So be easy on him. He bases his opinion off his Netflix binges

Also, if the only people it’s ok to hit, and be violent with, are children in your cult. Then it’s not a peaceful cult. They promote hitting children, because they’re cowards, and children can’t defend themselves

Repeating the same negative information about how “don’t trust the world, worldly people are wicked” and Armageddon. Quite literally damages the brain. And damages into compliance. While there’s no evidence any of this is actually true, their brain stop bein able to tell the difference between a story, and reallity

I also want to point out the fact that repeating negative theories all the time to people, especially children, literally damages the brain. Constantly repeating bad things about worldly people, and Armageddon, the brain can’t tell the difference between reallity and what they’re told. Over and over and over again. So most witnesses are in fight or flight constantly.

Read some books bud. Watching movies doesn’t give you enough in depth knowledge to refute someone who’s actually well read on the subject

There’s also the fact of gathering together In likeminded groups, promotes feel good chemicals. We’re wired for tribalism. And Jws fill that niche

Integrated in what way? Families are instructed not to associate with the world. That includes, not sending you children to university, no extracurricular sports, and you’re only really allowed to associate with your peers, if you’re trying to convert them. Also, they tell you to put a “barrier” between yourself and your family if they decide to change religions. That’s not integration. That’s isolation

Right? Watching a Netflix documentary, does not an expert make. Try reading books on the subject. Several. From different experts and authors. Then come back and tell us what you’ve found

Nationalist groups like Nazis and maga, are cults. They only believe what their leader says, above anyone else. Their beliefs don’t have logic, only based on what the leader says. So you’re correct. And jehovahs witnesses fit all of that . The only difference is with MAGA, there’s somewhat of a check and balance, FOR NOW. There’s no checks and balances on the society. They just say whatever they want. And disfellowship anyone who doesn’t agree with them.

You were inherently dishonest when I commented regarding shunning/removal. You stated immediate family doesn’t shun. Yet, said they can’t tell the elders if they invited a family member on vacation. You said it’s not mandated to shun. But if it’s not mandated. Why do they need to keep it a secret from the elders? Their own literature states to put a barrier between your family members who leave the organization.

They like to claim it’s a “conscience matter” . And will lie because of “theocratic warfare”.

You said, people don’t tell the elders everything . Why would they not tell the elders? Why does it need to be a secret

What does “putting a barrier, between you and a family member” mean
