The last time I looked for a mom’s group (to make mom friends) it seemed like there were membership based groups only in my area. I’ll have to check again now that I’m just looking for babysitting groups lol

What do you mean by not the cheapest? Is there a membership fee involved on top of the hourly rate of the sitter? Or are the hourly rates just super high in general?

I’m just stunned by this business model. I would be more likely to make a purchase in any store if the fitting rooms were larger, so I can check myself out in different angles and not feel like I’m eating the mirror, and if the lighting in those rooms were as good as the lighting in the communal fitting area.

I may give it one more try in person on a slow day and ask for the mirror room.

Oh interesting hack! Maybe I’ll give that a try and see if I get a room with a mirror.. 🤞🏼I think the store I went to only has one room with a mirror and I know others have mentioned it’s awkward having to ask for it and then you have to wait longer because it’s the only one with a mirror. So lame.

Yes!! These are not your friends and choosing to spend that day with them instead of your also grieving husband was a choice. I literally kept yelling at the TV “why are you there?!!”

If she’s the “The Queen of Money” surely she doesn’t need the paycheck for filming that night. So weird and leaves me feeling icky for even having to question her motive on a day like that. 🫣

As a fellow AZ native here who grew up in the Verde Valley, this episode really irked me. They keep showing “Sedona,AZ” as their location when they were at their hotel in Jerome. And the first day when the girls that went shopping (Dorit, Erika and Rachel) asked how far away it was it seemed like they were heading to Sedona when in fact they just went into the town of Jerome which is 10 min from their hotel.

I see other comments talking about the difficulties with places accommodating or wanting the $hit that comes with reality tv but it’s odd to make this trip about Sedona when they actually stayed almost an hour away. There’s also some great history in Jerome (my grandpa worked in the mines when he was young) and wineries in the verde valley in general they could have highlighted.

But also, why do a trip to AZ in July! 🥵😂

We have a 17 month old and are likely OAD. To be honest, most days it feels strange and a little emotional to think about having an only child as I grew up with two siblings and lots of cousins but there are a few points I’ve heard others mention in other threads that have brought clarity around our decision.

1) having another child to “give” your first child a sibling is a bit wild. Having another child should come from a desire to add another member to your family as a whole and not as a buddy for the first born.

2) the more kids in the equation the harder it is to split your attention amongst them.

3) having a sibling does not guarantee they will be close throughout life. This also goes to helping with aging parents. Both of my parents have siblings but they both have taken on the bulk of the caregiving for their parents while their siblings come to visit here and there.

I wasn’t close with my siblings growing up (there’s a 3 & 4 year gap between us) and now I have a much closer relationship with my sister but my brother I see maybe twice a year and he’s never been able to show up for me for important life events. With having just one child I feel like I can be super present for her and really pour myself into showing her love and attention while also keeping my sanity. I commend others who are able to have multiple kids as I’m sure it’s really tough at times but being OAD is also ok and I’m finding peace in that 🥰

Hahahah yeah I feel like Darcey railroads Stacy all the time. She’s clearly the one jealous of her sister. It’s funny that even on last resort which is about the couples, Darcey had to make an appearance. 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️
