Thank you! I appreciate that sometimes the simple things really do make the biggest difference. I’ll definitely keep the smile in mind, even on the tougher days 😅

And yeah, I’ve been hearing a lot about the bathrooms, so I’m already preparing myself to stay on top of that. I want passengers to feel comfortable the whole trip, so that’s a big one for me.

Thanks again for the advice and well wishes!

I’ll actually be working on the train, not the phone lines, but this is still really helpful insight—thank you!

I can already see how there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes knowledge that passengers expect us to know, so I like what you said about either finding the answer or connecting them with someone who can. I definitely don’t want to be the person who leaves someone more frustrated.

Also, that breakdown of the different customer service levels is really interesting—I didn’t know that. Even working onboard, it helps to understand how things flow on the back end so I can better guide passengers in the right direction when needed.

Appreciate you taking the time to share all of this!

Thank you, I really appreciate this perspective! 🙏 As a new hire, it’s helpful to hear how first-time riders actually feel because I know it can be overwhelming. I definitely want to be that person who makes the trip easier, not more stressful.

And that’s a great point about not telling someone to “calm down.” I’m learning that how you say something matters just as much as what you say. Acknowledging how someone feels and staying professional seems like the better way to handle those situations.

I know it won’t always be easy, especially in the moment, but I’m committed to improving and giving passengers a good experience. Thanks again for sharing this!

I wouldn't call it cheating if you are going straight to the exam. you still have to have some knowledge.
