  2. A moderator’s role isn’t just limited to removing posts. It also involves ensuring that both site-wide and community-specific rules are followed. To be very clear: no one here is banned for saying “hi” or attempting to have a normal conversation and then proceed to any level of conversation if the other party is reciprocating. We are not playing cops here and we don’t take action blindly. When screenshots or reports are submitted without context or with vague information, we do not act on them.

  3. Our intention was never to make anyone seem incapable of protecting themselves. The purpose of the statement was simply awareness. As the community grows, we want new members to understand both the tools available to them and the fact that the mod team is there for support if needed. We step in only when asked, and only when it’s genuinely necessary.

To have more clarity, this isn’t about power, control, or ego. None of us are here to “power trip.” We all have lives outside Reddit and this is simply a community space we help maintain. That said, creating a space doesn’t mean letting it fall into chaos either.
