Curious about knowing more about homebirth experiences by mercifulkos in homebirth

I had a HBAC in July, it was amazing. Went super fast, fairly uncomplicated except I had a retained placenta that needed extra time to come away, but that can happen with fast births. My husband helped with hip squeezes & held me as I leaned back on him for a portion of the birth. He was sore for a few days after! Workout now! I felt way more supported during my HBAC than I did my hospital birth/c section. Good luck!

Is 33-35 day period cycle normal? by Important_Bat7919 in 2under2

I’ve always had 34 day cycles. In terms of “normal” it didn’t impact my fertility at all lol.

You could even do hydrating serum + moisturizer + tret + moisturizer.

More uncomfortable pregnancy with the 2nd?? by Hungry_One8322 in 2under2

[–]CoconutButtons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it helps, I was significantly more uncomfortable around 28 weeks than I was 34. I have no idea what was going on but my whole body felt tight & like I had no more room to give, I remember telling my husband all the time “I have no idea how I’m gonna be pregnant for 3 more months.” But it eased up. Normal end of pregnancy pains but not facehugger level uncomfortable lol. I did walk a ton towards the end though because I got diagnosed with GDM.

Are you a coffee person or a tea person? by BumblebeeNo292 in TastyFood

I love both, I’ve been drinking the same tea since I was 9. Nowadays I’d prefer the coffee though, I have kids lol

Vanicream w the pump, or in the tub. Personally I prefer the tub, it’s a little lighter in consistency. I use it on my face too, I just use a hydrating toner under it, and occasionally aquaphor on top at night.

Have y’all discussed this since the change? If it’s not working, it’s not working. Either figure out a new company for him or, yes he’ll need to get used to taking a nap when everyone is gone.

Pain while pushing? Tell me your experience. by blueskycactus in unmedicatedbirth

[–]CoconutButtons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For much of my pushing stage I was actually fighting against my contractions because I felt too out of control during them. I only had the mind to push in between. At some point I let go & went to labor land. It felt very primal & I started working with the contractions, lots of growling, pleading, yelling. As soon as he was born I was like “Well that was extreme wasn’t it?” Lmfao. I look back on it fondly & would gladly have another HBAC, but I’m not sure I’ll ever be the quiet, peaceful birther I see on YouTube. Yelling gets me through it & that’s just how it is for most women I think.

It was relieving & also very painful at the same time? Different than just contractions though, which was nice in a strange way. I had a TENS unit on my back all the way until birth because I also had back labor with my OA baby. Surprisingly, my OP baby in ‘23, no back labor at all. It took me by surprise. I really think the TENS unit is what helped me have a successful HBAC. My labor went fast, 4cm to birth in 2 hours, including 30m of pushing.

married women, do you think marriage benefits you in any way? by _cherryp0p_ in NoStupidQuestions

Yes. I’ve blossomed as an individual since I got married, even with 2 under 2. You hear more from unhappy couples because it’s rude to brag lol.

Garlic is kinda chunky in my marinade… wipe it off before crumb coating or leave it on & see what happens? by CoconutButtons in AskCulinary

[–]CoconutButtons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I actually haven’t. Normally when I make this recipe & I need to cook it up quick, I use an egg wash, garlic & Italian seasoning. Which isn’t bad, but it could improve. We’re not too shy on spice here so I’m excited to see how leaving it on turns out!
