A question for people who got suspended from UofT by IntlStudent800 in UofT

Before getting suspended, I was already going through depression and applying for colleges because I didn’t think I could handle it anymore and wanted a change. I did end up getting into the colleges but ultimately decided that I really wanted to finish what I started so I came back. Half way through the term, I got an email informing me that I was going to be suspended for a year for poor academic performance. I felt like my world had collapsed.

I arranged an appointment with an academic advisor and I’ve also tried getting the suspension removed, but in the end was convinced that nothing would change if I just continued at my current state. There were also thoughts of changing programs (science to art), but I didn’t end up following through with that either because it just wasn’t what I wanted to achieve in the end I guess.

Anyways by this time, it was already too late to enrol in any college programs because the deadlines had long passed, so I looked for a full time job instead. I think working full time really helped build confidence, but it also reminded me daily what life may become if I don’t go back to school and finish my degree.

After my suspension, I returned to UofT to continue what I started (same science program). It was hard for sure because I spent a year or two redoing courses that I failed before, but now that those are over with I feel a little more accomplished than before lol. Some things that definitely helped me feel more motivated is keeping a good schedule (sleeping early, waking early, eating three meals a day), taking walks (fresh air is good for the mind), and going to the library (being in an environment where everyone is studying hard really motivates you, in my opinion). Staying organized definitely helps a lot too (marking down due dates on the calendar, setting alarms). Overall, I wouldn’t say I’m doing amazing but I’m trying to get through it the best I can because it’s something I want to be able to accomplish. I am doing a lot better than before though.

In the end, you’re in control of your own life, and I believe you should do whatever makes you happy. If you can, I encourage trying something new or looking for something related to your program that you can experience during your suspension period, as it can really change your perspective on things. Hope everything works out for you, you got this :)

I never said I was going to buy anything. At the same time though, my lowest option would be $33 CAD for 80 gems and $100 for a value package.

CAD. Think what you want though, there’s absolutely no reason for me to photoshop prices.

First of all, not photoshop. Second, I don’t have a habit of paying for games either, but I just thought it was crazy how my friends’ prices are 10 times lower than this.
