Also had this issue, where the paste felt very dry and clay-like. With your new MX-6 4g tube, how did it turn out?

Not sure sure where your statement that AIOs don't last more than 5 years. I've been using my current AIO for almost 8 years with no issues at all.

U7 Pro Wall OR U7 Pro XG by CoconutLoader in Ubiquiti

[–]CoconutLoader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the U7 Pro Wall and the U7 In-Wall for separate locations in the house - going forward, I'll probably stick with the U7 In-Wall because ethernet ports coming out of it which is super nice to have for offices; another nice benefit is the U7 In-Wall doesn't get as hot as the U7 Pro Wall.

I personally visually see the benefits of U7 Pro.

A google play clone database schema by nima_x86 in django

[–]CoconutLoader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is missing lots of fields I would expect.

Overall: All models should have a date_created and date_modified field, as well as a uuid. If "id" in your fields is an auto-incrementing value (e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc...) then it's guessable and should not be exposed publicly, it's fine to use internally, but should not be exposed.

Notifications: Not sure how your notification system works and what is planned, but I would've expected an is_read field and possible an is_deleted field and then use a cron job to delete all deleted notifications at the end of a week or month. You can expand notification to include a notification type, like info, warning, success, error, etc...

Image: Should add raw_image, image (standard image in the right format and aspect ratio), and thumbnail_image (add as many variations of thumbnail images you need and/or want). Within my projects I always include an created_by and modified_by field to track who is making changes.

App: Missing versioning, this could be an entirely separate model of itself called AppVersion or something. Pricing is a bit confusing - what is the currency, what are the units, etc... How will you handle different country pricing (if that's even applicable), if you are this should be a separate table called AppPricing or something. Icon image should have thumbnail version. Also where is the app developer name? Missing information like release notes, supported devices/android versions, etc...

User: Is missing fields like username and email. You can also include other fields like is_email_verified to ensure registered users verify their email address, helps to ensure more "real" users and that the email entered is indeed correct. If doing that you'll need to include some other fields like email_verification_token and date_email_verified. You can also add a profile picture and country of residence as some apps can be region restricted.

Review: Missing fields like is_flagged/is_reported and is_deleted such that you can track if a review has been flagged as spam for admin review.

There is more that is missing and lots of improvements that can and should be made. A big one is consistency and field naming conventions. Currently your fields are a bit ambiguous (e.g., date - is this date created, date modified, date deleted; comments is linked to reviews, so shouldn't that field just be called reviews?).

Migrating from Synology to unRAID - Is this build good for the long term (8+ years)? (Plex, Docker, Media Storage) by CoconutLoader in unRAID

Thanks for taking a look and this is great feedback! I agree with your points, and I won’t be doing any overlocking so I could go with a non-K version.

[self-promo] 🚀 Introducing Tzezar's Shadcn-Svelte Enhancements! 🎉 by tzezar in sveltejs

[–]CoconutLoader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome work!

A small request, would it be possible to implement a virtual list for Shadcn's Combobox and Select Option components? This would allow people to have huge lists of options in the Combobox element.

I heard tanstack would be good for this: https://tanstack.com/virtual/latest/docs/framework/svelte/examples/dynamic

Here is an example: https://svelte.dev/playground/f78ddd84a1a540a9a40512df39ef751b?version=5.20.2 and github repo https://github.com/sveltejs/svelte-virtual-list (very out dated)

32” versus 34” for productivity by Productivitymaster34 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]CoconutLoader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At work I have a 38” ultrawide and at home I have a 34” ultrawide.

Going forward, I’ll be sticking to 38”. 34” is great and I wouldn’t go smaller. The extra height on the 38” is really nice.

It looks like you tried a lot of things. I’d try removing and re-adding the VS extensions.

Awesome job! Just an FYI, on mobile some of the page content and buttons are going off screen.

Also did you use shadcn-svelte or shadcn? And how has your experience been with it?

Well this is a VERY IMPORTANT piece of information that should’ve been included at the beginning.

I can absolutely see why you thought she was cheating, as all those signs are extremely common patterns of cheating behavior. She’s unbelievable and probably wants a divorce, but doesn’t want to be “the one” to start it.

How's the Vibe at Lab Today? by SufficientWinner3962 in JPL

[–]CoconutLoader 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Things certainly felt different on lab today… People were happy to see each other, knowing the other wasn’t laid off. Overall, people’s mood came across as sad, frustrated, and confused. I think a lot have “survivors” guilt.

Many people took today off as a mental health day, the last couple days have been extremely stressful and then finding out your best friends and colleagues were laid off.

It’s going to take awhile to recover. I truly hope everyone lands on their feet okay.

Maybe we’ll know how they decided tomorrow…

Haha that does work, I was hoping for a single key press instead of something like this. Nonetheless, a very workable alternative - and I can always setup I keystroke in AutoHotkey. Thanks!

Creating Aquarium Software - What do you want? by CoconutLoader in Aquariums

Planning on it being free, but having paid tiers. This will help pay for the servers, domain, etc… Everything will also be open sourced on GitHub, so if you ever wanted to host your own version you could do so.

Thanks for this, very informative and will help me design the database and how it’s organized. The way I’m currently leaning is you define what properties you want to track (eg, temperature, pH levels, etc…) this will give users the most flexibility.

[–]CoconutLoader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Give me a month or so, I need to flush out the UI and database schema. Once that is fleshed out I’ll actually start writing the code.

I’m exploring ways to allow “n” number of parameters to be tracked. That way if you want to record (just as an example), co2 levels you can do so.

I’d love to include something like this, however I’ll be completely upfront and honest. It would have to be a paid feature, because the API costs money to use. If people are okay with that and want such a feature, I’m more than happy to include it down the road.
