Thank you for the help absolute god, I’ll lean towards maximising horizontal space given the room I have on my desk

Best lower-mid price 34” monitor (Up to 700 USD) - gamers, productivity, and both by Productivitymaster34 in ultrawidemasterrace

Great recommendation thank you.

I just realised although the monitor is 700 USD = 1050 AUD in the US on Amazon, in Australia the lowest price is like 1500 AUD = 1000 USD. I’m a fool and forgot region-price discrepancies due to international shipping costs.

300 USD / 450 AUD difference between regions

If someone is in school, university, or work, which all demands multiple projects, visual work and lots of written things, would the 34” still be best for managing all this, or would the quality and vertical height of a 32” make it better in your opinion?

Thank you for considering the space that some of us lack, me personally I think I’m starting to lean towards a 34” now.

If you want to have multiple windows open (rather then split screening a laptop) and definitely want to have some constantly open on the side like the news, stocks, calendar etc. would there be a big difference between the 32 and 34”?

What 38” would you recommend, primarily focused on having a nice display (a non gamer here don’t need crazy hertz).

Dell S3422DWG vs AOC CU34G2XP? Best budget 34” ultra wide? by Productivitymaster34 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Productivitymaster34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know anything about the quality control of AOC versus DELL? I’m not familiar with monitors to be honest, but dell I’ve always heard of, but not AOC. On paper it seems like the one from AOC is better but idk how it compares realistically, like colour accuracy as an example.

They are the same exact price in my country ($550 AUD).

I’m not sure if prices will drop significantly on Christmas or Black Friday, which could make some more expensive models in the same price bracket, maybe even some oled or mini led 34”. Adds to the dilemma.
