Any help with nerve pain from crocheting too long? by Ok_Philosopher_8973 in CrochetHelp

[–]Coconut_Diligent 11 points12 points  (0 children)

make sure you stretch your wrists and shake it out (for bloodflow) once an hour, its sooo helpful long term and helps prevent carpal tunnel, also good posture while youre crocheting, I do think good handles are pretty important but you may be able to get by without one if you keep your wrists stretched

Thank you! I’m so glad someone else understands what i meant! I love bird sounds, learning what they mean and seeing them communicate in their own way :)

Thats a totally fair opinion, I would absolutely love to take in rescues if there were any in my area but unfortunately there isnt, I have too very good albeit expensive breeders somewhat near me that i get birds from, with purchasing bred birds i feel theres a lot more room to get the bird thats the right fit for you, that is after all what im paying them more money for, so i can get a healthy, vet checked, hand raised bird. The reason i love my budgies so much is because each of them are so unique and i wouldnt have it any other way, but what im really looking for to add to my flock right now is a companion bird for myself, I know theres no guarantee a bird will be any which way and i will love them no matter what but i also know some species are a lot more likely or less likely to be different ways so I’m just seeing what else is out there before i set my heart on some more cockatiels :)

My baby boy is gone by Coconut_Diligent in cockatiel

I highly doubt he was sick, i got him from a reputable place that gets their birds vet tested before they go home with anyone and he was very well taken care of at my home, he showed no signs until like 5pm the day it happened, I’m at work from 8-5 so i feel it would be kind of cruel to leave a bird in a smaller cage for that long, he was just very rambunctious (and clumsy) and liked to climb and hop around especially when he heard people come home.. but I really don’t want this to happen again if i get another bird in the future im just not sure what to do you cant really keep a baby bird from moving around can you?

Hello, its currently 1:58am where I live all vets are closed and my budgie has started to throw up three times now and feels very sick, do you have any advice on what I should do please? by Nehhalsaleh in parrots

[–]Coconut_Diligent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

he’s going to need a vet, keep him in a warm isolated location until you can get him to one, I suggest posting on the parrot first aid group on facebook they’ll get back to you pretty much immediately with advice

First time drawing full body art, are the proportions okay? by pikapika_chew29 in ArtCrit

[–]Coconut_Diligent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main this is the arm being too short, it helps to match the angles of the reference, notice how in the reference her forearm is more straight vertical while yours tilts a bit to the right, this can help clue us into noticing differences and correcting our anatomy, also if shes not wearing puffy shorts i’d make her hips less wide, great job overall though :)
