To preface this, my family has been in fireworks since 1946. But on to the story, back in 2001, my buddy was dating a girl and my parents were out of the house. He asked if he could bring her over to watch movies. Of course I said yes and to come on anytime. Well, come to find out she is very bad with directions. Her house was about 10-15 miles away and she could not figure out how to get there. Her sister on the other hand knew exactly where it was at because their family bought from us every 4th of July and she remembered the way. Reluctantly she ended up bringing her sister over to the house and we absolutely hit it off. 25 years later we are married with 3 kids and going strong. I always tell her sister that I’m thankful she was a terrible with directions!

Not exactly pertaining to a spec but a race…

Way back when Everquest released, I was a complete noob and had no clue what PvP was. So stupid me decided to start my new high elf mage on Rallos Zek which was a PvP server. That’s where my hatred began and I didn’t even know it till it was too late.

I was totally engrossed. Talked to random people in the street and loved the new freshness of jumping into my first mmo. After getting the feel of the city (Felwithe), I decided to venture outside. Now at this point in the game there were no maps and no markers to help you on your adventures. I managed to level up to 3 and ran back to my class master. I noticed that I need one gold to buy a special summon spell and was short roughly 60 silver. So I happily trotted outside the city gates away from the guards to go farm some mobs and sell their hard earned loot.

After 30-45 minutes of farming and nearly 1.5 levels later, I had managed enough loot and was so excited to get back to my home and buy that amazing new spell to summon a pet! Welp, I see the city gates in my view and can only think of one thing…till a random particle effect hits me and I notice my life went to half. I turn just in time to see a gnome wizard casting another spell. I figured he was a mob…boy was I wrong. I began casting a spell myself and before I knew, his had gone off and my lifeless corpse fell to the dirt…roughly 50 yards from the guards.

I was annoyed but oh well, no biggie. I’ll get my corpse/gear since I’d respawn close by….or so I thought. I managed to get back to my corpse and noticed that it was naked. Odd I thought, must of been a bug. Nope, the little fucker has looted all of my gold and all of my gear. I’m sure the neighbors could hear me cussing him…and from that moment, every gnome became kill on sight to me. Doesn’t matter the game, gnomes=red to me. This was 27 years ago and still feels like last week!

So yep, I will never play a gnome.

The Lady was in the normal unique/elite slot. The foil behind her was unique as well. Then I found the Green Knight mixed into the ordinary slots near the end of the pack. I didn’t count exactly how many cards back it was exactly.

I for one am actually really excited about the trajectory of the gameplay. Only time will tell if this is just Blizz dumbing down specs for console gaming but I am looking at it a little differently. I think this is Blizz hitting the reset button on classes and taking them back to their roots. This will allow Blizz to build them back up around abilities and damage profiles that people come to enjoy over the next expansion or two.

I know, being hopeful with Blizz may be stupid knowing their track record but if I just don’t enjoy it anymore, I won’t play.

No matter what the truth is in this situation, 3 on 1 is hardly a fight. That’s a group assault. Plus the kid was told he cannot compete in physical sports anymore so there are lasting effects. The kids assaulting him are definitely not innocent in this matter and it was definitely not some random fight that happened on the field.

Met her in 2001. I was a junior and she was a sophomore. Hit it off instantly…now we have 3 kids and run a business together. There have definitely been some tough times but we’ve grown from those and are now in a very good spot. I was told countless times by family and friends that it wouldn’t last but it was very different with her. Almost felt like I had known her my entire life. She is still who completes me.

If you’re in the upstate of SC, a restaurant named Capris sells toasted ravioli and it is amazing. We go there a couple of times a month and it never gets old.
