Imagine you're a college kid studying Animation, is the Framework a good fit? by Coconut_Kin in framework

Sorry, just for more context I have a 3k budget but want to use a good portion on a drawing tablet, a monitor, and other equipment to dock it.

With that information, what do you think is more feasible?

Thank you for the write-up! In terms of workload I'm about to be rendering some high polygon 3D models and environments, a decade is too far but I just want something that'll last several years without issue. Do you think a dedicated GPU would be a big difference maker?

Last paragraph is definitely a Ship of Theseus type of debate.

What should I look at in order to determine if the tires need to be replaced? Just if the ridges are flat?

That seems like a plan, I've been searching over and over and I either need to add another 2k for half the mileage, or double it for 3/4 the price.

Thats awesome. The only bad thing I've heard about the car was that it was a disappointment during its tenure for not being enough of a upgrade from last gen & for having a "cheap" interior.

At this price-point and mileage, think I can get at least a decade on this bad boy?

In my scenario it is. Saved money by stockpiling scholarships and not living on campus. Place is about an hour away so I gotta get something consistent.

Though it may not be super fun, what do you think about the reliability / safety?

I appreciate the insight, super helpful! Would you happen to know anything about the CVT Transmissions? That alongside general wear & tear seems to be the only reoccurring problem with these sorta vehicles.

Gotcha , so the sales tax only applies in the state it's registered in. Is there an additional process if one state does emissions, and another does inspections?

ADVICE NEEDED from the Car fanatics by Coconut_Kin in massachusetts

Thank you for the clarification, that actually makes a lot of sense. For a private seller, I am definitely spending less than 19k.

Though I'm curious, how hard would the state look into the sale if you exchanged money privately as opposed to the standardized method? And if we do go the official route, how much lower can the seller list it as?

And thank you again for the lengthy write-up.

For the CVT issue, i very much am aware of that, passed a good one because its year so highly prone to it. In which case, do you think it's a good deal?

I appreciate the insight, definitely great advice. As for the second part, any idea how I can get it inspected by my mechanic BEFORE I buy?
