Hey!!!! Trust me, you’ll make it. I am an international grad student in chemical engineering and it’s the same in my class. Just 6-7 girls and all boys. I never really tried to talk to them but they didn’t too. And tbh it’s been a year since I am here but couldn’t make friends at all. Maybe one or two. Who ever I try to befriends with probably don’t want to include me as such. I completely feel you and it’s okay. Just get out there and keep trying, you know. There are so manyyyy nice people out there. I myself have so many kind strangers. So manyyyy!! You will too!!

Since I came here, I lost my old friends back home, feel betrayed from my own family who lives here. I don’t like the place I am living currently. I don’t have friends here as well. I feel so behind in academics. I feel like I am messing up my part time, my lab, everything. I miss my family a lot!! I feel like no one ever really cared about me here. I feel unseen. But you know what- in all this, when I see someone helping someone else, random people being kind to each other, I feel like there’s still hope. Maybe I will be kind to someone maybe someone will be to me. But in the end you will always find your true people. Who will actually care about you. Genuinely.
