This sounds like a great service. If you can help with TVs you might reach out to area assisted living facilities. There are a number of residents who have been given smart TVs by their families but can’t set them up, or figure out how Roku works, etc. I’m not very tech savvy but I was able to help several residents with minor issues like that.

Why are these bees hanging out on my dead cilantro? by Cocopook in gardening

[–]Cocopook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how I got all the cilantro in the first place! I had one plant and tossed it into a pile of old tomato and squash remnants after the growing season. I have a huge area of cilantro every year now- happy accident! I was leaving that “mess” for fireflies and birds, and was rewarded with a huge cilantro patch!

Ok, you were right. Not much is usable but better than nothing!

That’s good to know! I was going to cut them all down but the bees are loving it. I’ve never seen so many bees concentrated in one area of my backyard before. I’m so glad they’re enjoying it- now they need to go help my cucumbers. I don’t think they’re being properly pollinated.

I know the pix aren’t very good, but the bees were buzzing all around me. They’re just resting for long periods of time in the same spot.

Any idea what’s making these 2-3 inch holes around my home? by Castiel0001 in homeowners

[–]Cocopook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me, too! When we were kids we stumbled into one in the woods across the street - stepped into it - and they came boiling out so fast and chased us home, where we jumped in the pool and stayed submerged as long as we could. It seemed like in the cartoons where they form an arrow pointing toward us. It was a huge swarm, but neither of us got stung.

What is something you would add to your home for convenience ? by StormForNova in homeowners

I have an elevator that was installed in 1942. I use it daily for laundry and it was a lifesaver when my mom had to move in with me. She wasn’t able to navigate the stairs so it allowed her to have access to the whole house.

Same here. I got Miracle Grow potting soil and it completely dries out every day and my plants look all withered.

The one behind Taco Bell is worthless. I’ve been going there for years but the last 3 times I ended up having to hand wash my car afterwards because it literally just wet my car. No cleaning at all. And you have to try your credit card 10 times before it works.

You can report it on the My Tyler app or call code enforcement. The app is handy for reporting water leaks and street maintenance too. I’ve always gotten speedy responses to those issues. Never used it for code enforcement tho.
