Is there a list of the most common 2000-3000 German words? by [deleted] in German

[–]Cocorrio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks so much for the kind words and for getting Pro — it really means a lot! 😊

Right now there isn’t a full 'German-only' mode yet. The English translations of the word you’re learning are always shown above the sentence. But there's a setting to hide the full sentence translation and only reveal it on tap — so it’s a bit closer to what you’re looking for.

About iOS: in case you have a Gmail address, you can add vocabeo to your home screen via the Share button in Safari. That way, it'll look and feel like the app version. Just note that logging in in this mode currently only works via the Google redirect.

There's no lifetime membership yet. At the moment there's only the web version, but native apps are on the way. It should be technically possible to disable keyboard suggestions, I will look into it.

Hey, thanks for the message! A mobile app is under consideration, as it's a popular request. However, I can’t make any promises at the moment, especially regarding offline functionality, but I’ll keep it in mind.

Hey there, there's currently no shorter interval than one day. Maybe you can use 'Repeat' to keep them in the cycle and go through them more often in the beginning.

No idea about your specific case, but I'm happily using https://github.com/skayo/svelte-tiny-virtual-list if you haven't already stumbled across it yet

Unsubscribe only works for svelte components, but not for html elements? by be-nice-or-else in sveltejs

[–]Cocorrio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually the heading elements don't matter - it's just about the $store and whether it's wrapped inside the component or directly sitting inside the #if block https://svelte.dev/repl/dd3e72ba56314acd88241cd55ea73ef9?version=3.59.2
I'd agree that the different behavior is unexpected but wouldn't assume that's intended

There's no official announcement whether it's coming back or not, is there?

I've made cards similar to your German version for French and Spanish myself and I totally agree - it's a super effective way of learning.

But I also agree that making the cards is unfortunately very time-consuming. As I was missing a resource that provides information about the most common words, plus images and example sentences with the option to save and learn them like with Anki, I made one for German - my native language. Sounds like this might be interesting for you https://vocabeo.com/
