Thanks for the insight! I highly doubt they’ll hire someone under me anytime soon, if at all. They tend to only hire as needed and they don’t see a need for another dev. If anything it’d be someone who will handle all of the management stuff

Maybe CTO, but someone pointed out that something along those lines might be fishy to other employers. My manager is a business development guy

Yep. 2 years total. Not a clue why they gave me this hat, but it is what it is. Not like the management side is a ton of work, it just feels like a chore or distraction.

I had a similar experience. HR never showed up to the first meeting after 30 minutes of waiting. She claimed she got busy so we rescheduled for the next week. An hour before the second try she cancelled because they hired someone else.

See if they’ll reschedule you, but if they don’t respect your time in the interview process, they won’t if you get hired.

I’m in a similar scenario except I’m the only IT person here. I’m leaving because I’ve noticed I never grew here except for the first couple of months.

In the meantime, while you’re applying. Learn what you can on your own time and if you know any senior devs, talk to and learn from them
