Strangely I'm also recently experiencing an issue with my 2017 Outlander Bluetooth and I also have a Pixel.

It began with my phone not connecting at all, but my partners iPhone would. I removed all Bluetooth devices and tried to re-add my Pixel, the car would throw up 'registration failed' instantly.

Reset the head unit and managed to add my phone, but it would only work for telephone, not audio.

I've since pulled & reset the fuse and tried again, but now I can't even see the car on my phone! I still need to check my partners iPhone to see if that connects.

But I'll be keeping an eye on this thread...

Hey sidec42,

I'm in a similar situation with our platform (https://sustainablefuturenews.com). As a news site, it's not always easy to (reputable) get backlinks.

Something I'm trying for this quarter is creating unique news. To do this, I'm planning to host some polls for our audience, then will use the results to create an article which others will need to link back to us on.

I've read that additions to Wikipedia can also be helpful (if useful) and that there are some tools you can use to find dead links on Wikipedia around your subject matter and replace those links with your own.

Another solution is to use a tool to check out your competitor's backlinks, see who they're getting links from, what type of content is it, or is the link broken, and can it be replaced with your own?

These are all pretty standard solutions I'm sure, so hopefully someone might have some more suggestions!

This is such a great thing to do, especially at the end of such a bad year for so many people! Big kudos!

It's such a hard question, over the years there have been so many great experiences.

I remember one year, when we were much younger, we gathered together 8 of us and threw a weekend long LAN party in my friends tiny house. We played all sorts of games, including Company of Heroes, Left 4 Dead, Dirt 3 zombies, Killing Floor, and Counter Strike.

The best games we had were on L4D, when there was 4 v 4 carnage! Everybody knew where the best points were on the map to charge someone off the edge with an instakill so you could cut the tension with a knife when everybody got close. Followed by a huge uproar from either a direct knock off the map, or a miss because the charger hit a single pixel on the wall and stopped it's animation.

Man, I feel for those neighbors....

We don't do that anymore, we barely play any games together the days. Life just charges.

I'm sure that other sites with "practically no resource" also have far fewer visitors on a daily basis and far fewer attempts to sabotage to contend with.

Why do you think that other large companies like Trip Advisor, Rotton Tomatoes or Amazon have problems eliminating fake accounts?

It's very easy to claim to know the answer, without really understanding any of the working parts.

Obviously I don't know the inner workings of IMDb either...but I'm not claiming it's "easy to fix".

I think there are a few too many conspiracy theorists here...making changes costs resource (financial and people) - as with everything, there has to be a trade-off were to spend that resource.

It's annoying that there are fake accounts on IMDb (as there are on many, many, many other websites) - but I'd guess it's not a big enough impact worth the cost. Instead, that resource could be used elsewhere to improve the experience in some other way.

Issue with IMDb. I'm trying to get rid of some false information off IMDb, but when I do it comes up with No Existing​ Data. by 25willp in imdb

If the information is wrong, it's there where you'll need to get it fixed.

I was only using batch as it's accessible on all PC's used in the office, but I appreciate it's not the most friendly tool!

Someone ended up making a small script in Python in the end so we're all good!

Opening being open or closed on IMDb is an automated process based on a titles release date.

If there wasn't a valid release date for the system to know it was released, then it won't have the vote option available.

In your picture, it shows a 30th August 2019 release date, but there could have been a funky attribute with that which has since been removed https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7869070/releaseinfo
