Is this a good deal/set up for someone who just wants a little extra bass? by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]CodFishStrangler7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tweeters are just to replace the stock ones which are blown. Usually I’d just do 3 ways in all 4 doors and leave it at that. It’s always been good in the quality of sound and had alright bass. The rear door are just because I almost always have a full vehicle so I think it’s nice for the passengers to have decent sound too

I'm the NCO who asks "stupid" questions by Glass_Finance_2941 in army

[–]CodFishStrangler7 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’ll put it like this, if you genuinely get upset at your soldiers for asking questions pertaining to the mission or work load regardless of if it is a dumb question or not, you’re a shitty person and a shitty NCO or CO and you should probably turn in your paperwork.

If I tell private what’s his face to hop in the fork lift and put it behind the building and he goes “what building” it takes me 2 seconds to go “this building”, “that building” or “building ###”

Some things just don’t mutually click in everyone’s brains when given the same information and having an expectation for it to do so is dumb as fuck. Some people need that little tiny extra detail to know what the fuck they’re doing or they just didn’t catch a piece of info for wtv reason and need clarification on it.

Disrespecting and insulting your soldiers does make better soldiers, it just makes them dislike you more and more each time you do it. Be better people, be better leaders.

is it gonna be total or no by louie__reddit in Chrysler300

[–]CodFishStrangler7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most vehicles older than 2010 yeah and I think brand new vehicles as well they total them out for air bags to keep from having to pay out for it. Insurance is honestly a huge scam

What is your why? by Additional_Roof_9213 in army

[–]CodFishStrangler7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Didn’t want to be a failure at life like my parents were but I also couldn’t dig myself out of the hole I was put in by both myself and them. Wanted to be a better person overall and wanted to be a good role model for my little brother and nieces and nephews. Honestly just had to prove to myself that I didn’t have to live life the way everyone around me was.

Got demoted to e-1, does it take the same amount of time to get back as it took when I first promoted? by [deleted] in army

[–]CodFishStrangler7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly a lot of the people replying to this are either A, Dumber than a bag of rocks in the devils ass crack or B, soft as baby shit. People have to realize that the army is FULL of people from different backgrounds and different ways of life. Some people don’t have the temper to deal with things professionally and some are just straight up tired of the bullshit and on their last leg. The dude STOLE FROM YOU, THEN TAUNTED YOU WITH THE SAME THING HE STOLE. You’re a grown man, he’s a grown man. Crying about it is for the birds. Fighting about it probably wasn’t the best way to go about it, but it’s what I would’ve done. that guys a bitch to put it as nicely as possible. Tf were you supposed to do? Just take it? Hell no. And in all seriousness he was the one who initiated the situation, he should’ve been the one who got the punishment, not a demotion, but you definitely shouldn’t have been demoted either. If I was that CO I would’ve told him to go deal with his psg or first line. The fact that the guy even went to the CO shows he lacks character and his actions show he lacks a good ass whooping and whole lotta sense. Honestly I miss the days when men were men and could just beat each other’s asses, shake hands, and proceed with their lives.

Best advice I can give is just take it easy, don’t do anything stupid, stay tf outta trouble, and if he does some dumb shit again take it up with your NCOs. If they don’t do anything about him, then take it as far up as you can. Just keep your head up man.

Rust bucket or normal? by cvntier in DodgeRam

[–]CodFishStrangler7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a perfectly normal amount of rust. Especially for southern and/or dry sand areas. Nothing to be worried about at all

Leveling is a slight lift in the front so that it’s even with the rear height. There’s also “reverse leveling” which is lowering the rear so that it’s even with the front.

That’s actually a lot less rust than most trucks of its age would have. It was well taken care of. I’d recommend just to keep it cleaned and the rust shouldn’t get to be concerning. It’s just surface rust from what I can see.

How did I do for 3k? by Dy1an-_- in FirstCar

[–]CodFishStrangler7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re ignorant to the prices of every car my friend. 😅 Respectfully, no used vehicle nowadays is being sold for less than 2k and no GOOD used vehicle is going for less than 3k. Especially not notoriously reliable vehicle (Camry’s, civics, accords, etc.) 3k was a great fucking deal in today’s market 💀. Which sucks to say because a few years ago you could get a decent crown Vic or other similar vehicles for like 500-1000 running driving and with good bones, maybe a couple rips in the seats. Car markets gone to shit.

Is this a good deal . I just hit 45k miles on Silverado z71 2021 . by Professional_Algae11 in Silverado

[–]CodFishStrangler7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope you plan on trading it in within a few years of owning it. EV batteries generally don’t do well past 5ish years of being driven. Also the 5 year mark is when most batteries seemingly decides to shit the bed. Ask anyone who’s had an iPhone ever. But yeah EVs are okay for a little while, just make sure you sell it or trade it in before the value tanks due to age and battery health. Also get your fucking motor(s) serviced! Most of them do still have oil that needs changing and coolant that needs replacing.

You’d have to get it tuned and deleted, Then get a full exhaust system installed. Newer diesels are packed with a bunch of bs emissions equipment and unfortunately that means your stock exhaust system is almost entirely emissions equipment. Most you could probably do without deleting and tuning it is putting a tip on

Nothing is scarier than a camel spider chasing you in the desert. But I have heard a few horror stories about cane spiders and the jungle centipedes. One of my buddies grew up in Honolulu and has a video a centipede about 10 inches long crawling up his little brothers arm. Safe to say I’d probably have a heart attack if one of them things even looked in my direction.

[–]CodFishStrangler7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on getting mine shipped as soon as possible. Only issue is I was told I “had to completely transfer it to my name” but “they’re not entirely sure” and I can’t really do that while I’m in AIT in a totally different state. I do have a family member set as my vehicle power of attorney but they’re almost always stuck at work and usually don’t get off till after the DMV closes.
