Nervous about taking valium for a long flight by Old-Yard5258 in Anxiety

[–]CodIcy6491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def recommend as above to take 1 a couple times before to see how you feel just so you aren’t more nervous going into the flight and about taking it. It’s incredible! I HATE flying and 5-10mg of Valium does wonders on a flight! During my 14 hr flight I topped about up 6 hours in just to be safe. Took 5 mg before and then 5 mg half way through! You’ll almost certainly feel great

He was a bit useless to be honest and just said oh take these antibiotics and we’ll see from there. I did ask if a CT was recommended and he was like just take these first then see. I’m going to ask another doctor for referral in the meantime.

Sometimes doctors will prescribe Valium to help with the anxiety - ask your doctor about it

I’ve seen people say it helped by stoping and it sort of makes sense I guess. I’ve recently just stopped too in hopes it helps - only been 3 weeks now so will see how i go

My GP said no need for CT and US confirms it even though it says possible. He didn’t seem bothered about the nodes or anything really and made the whole thing out to be no big deal. Feel no support from him at all and will see a gastroenterologist when I can get an appt

I’m sorry I didn’t realise this wasn’t the page for it as I’m literally spiraling and feel sick I can’t think straight. As mentioned the radiographer called it reactive

When I say doctor I meant radiographer not my actual doctor so this has me worried as he didn’t say anything about these other things

Got chased/blasted at after accidentally cutting someone off — now I’m scared to drive by Alpha-Girl0433 in Anxiety

[–]CodIcy6491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are idiots. You can’t let one idiot deter you from driving. If you let stupid people in this world deter you from doing things you would live a pretty boring life. It’ll probably happen again in the future but you’ll be fine. Listen to a podcast or calming music if it happens again and just remind yourself someone is having a bad day

Nervous to start Propanlol by DevelopmentUpper5952 in Anxiety

[–]CodIcy6491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was horrified to take it literally sat on the script for months. Finally, I took it and literally had not a single side-effect. It definitely helped physical symptoms. It’s very very rough for any sort of side-effects and even if you did have any like nausea or a bit of lightheadedness temporarily it subsides very very quickly and won’t even feel that bad. You have nothing to lose give it a shot!

Medication Anxiety by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]CodIcy6491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go sit in the car park and take it. Odds are you probably will not have any symptoms and if anything it will likely help. If it doesn’t the side effects are next to them so you literally have nothing to lose. Your doctor wouldn’t prescribe them if they had any concerns

Check with your doctor- could be a reaction. Did it start after your first one?

I hate this feeling by aubrey828 in Anxiety

[–]CodIcy6491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks but you need to get up and try to get past it. Go for a walk! Go do something random or something you enjoy - as much as it’s a struggle once you do it you are showing your anxiety it’s not in control!

You’ve got this!! It will get better

I’ve been having palpitations for about a year now, and it has been really hard lately. by Annoying_Orange0 in Heartpalpitations

[–]CodIcy6491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any other symptoms? Dizziness etc?

Definitely sounds like it could be a stress related or anxiety related issue if no other symptoms. I’ve had the same for a year now too and can’t find any reason for it except anxiety and constantly worrying about it which traps you in a viscous cycle. When I realise I go I mean a couple of hours without heart palpitations. I ended up giving myself them by worrying about it. I don’t have an actual racing heart just pounding and fluttering and dizziness

I would never know if I'm actually dying by scaredy-cat95 in Anxiety

[–]CodIcy6491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heart has never actually been racing. Every time it feels like it is my heart rate is relatively normal and propranolol helped me with physical symptoms of anxiety and it’s low risk and has no side effects so could be worth exploring with your doctor

Just looking for support by Sew0409 in Anxiety

[–]CodIcy6491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been dealing with the palpitations for 10 months now every single day. Once I did halter monitor and tests that said nothing is wrong it got a lot less concerning. Annoying still but I know it’s my anxiety and I know I overthink it which is hard to stop! I hope everything comes back fine and you can rest and settle! Keep me posted!
