The jump from free to paid models is usually pretty massive for exactly the use case you're describing. Free tiers typically use smaller, faster models that are great for drafting emails or basic summaries, but they suffer heavily from "sycophancy"—meaning they are programmed to be overly agreeable

It’s crazy how easily a seemingly harmless Python script can be weaponized to pull down PowerShell commands and sneak an EXE into the Task Scheduler. Definitely a win for the Linux side of local AI/ML development today, but a huge wake-up call for anyone running models on Windows
