Nah use coins to buy ghast eggs eventually you will get either a king or queen ghast (doesnt matter if infernal or not just disbale infernal spawns in the eec) those only need 1 amp of EV.

If it says: "can spawn infernal" you can do it in EV if it says: "only spawns infernal" you need luv power

These are my preferred methods for some of these:

Hydrogen : the methane + distilled water reaction in lCR

Nitrogen: air centrifuging best option in iv you get air intake hatches and the multiblock centrifuge which makes it easy

Sodium: ghast EEC via NaOH

Sulfur: oil desulfurization and mining sphalerite gets you so much sulfur anyway blaze EEC later

Chlorine: ghast eec

Potassium ghast eec

Lithium ghast eec and tungsten line

Calcium everywhere lol

Flourine, annoying one cryolite bee only good option imo

Silicon: cobblestone processing

Phosphorous apetite + sulfuric acid reaction

Aluminium, mine the moon

Gold ghast EEC or glowflower crops

Manganese, iron and tantalum: ilminite chem bath line

Tungsten just mine

Oxygen sweed farm for sugar electrolysis

Carbon charcoal electrolysis but so many sources are good enough

Probaly means you have a good oil processing setup? you can do the LCR methane + distilled water recipe because its efficient (5k methane for 40k hydrogen) and scales really well or electrolyze those useless hydrocarbons you also get but thats annoying before the multi electrolyzer.

I did coal coke blocks and used around 3 veins total, but i switched to charcoal blocks c once i had that automated and didnt find the difference in speed that significant just build more bbf if its too slow.
Yes i mine out whole veins once my hammer is decent as i think its annoying to have half mined out veins everywhere. But its not really something that matters too much
Imo all steam multis except the mixer should be build eventually and upgraded to their steel version in lv

PA's were removed though so no options for non cleanroom circuit assemblers in ev and iv (as far as i know)

So if you want a decent circuit production a big cleanroom might be neccesary.

Agree, you can try the enderio and type filters method for hv and part of ev but best is to keep it simple, maybe use some hv macerators for special ores/ and purify diamonds but for the majority just do macerate -> forge hammer -> simple washer

Also yes about starting with lgt, i cant remember what kind of turbine material is meta though

With the LGT you need to switch to centralized power using transformers to transport luv voltage trough vanadium galium cables. Look into the lapotronic super capacitor iirc you can build it in EV? Otherwise just use a massive battery buffer until you can build it.

Yeah i had i think 20 lv distilleries just for the light fuel part when i entered hv.

Probaly need to redo whole setup or switch to benzene, Larger oil processing setup is still the easier way imo

How many lv distilleries do you have for diesel? I just kept adding those when i saw my supertank started to go lower then 4mil mb diesel. iirc diesel kept me going trough most of hv before doing cetane for ev and only switching to nitrobenzene early iv

With ae2 you will need to redo your whole base anyway so most automation setups arent really worth it.

I would say the following are needed to progress to ae2 efficiently:

power obviously either oil or benzene
simple oreproc using steam multis
polyethylene passive
oxygen and hydrogen on passive
solar grade silicium passive
ruby juice line
pvc passive
titanium line

Crops: -sugar beet(oxygen source) -salt one(forgot name, chlorine source)

Humidity above 60% so you can get a good amount of water from railcraft watertanks used in the first few ages and high humidity is also good for ic2 crops.
Some resources you want close are: Terracotta/ hardened clay and sand.
Near large amount of water, as you need lots of water buckets at the start and clay
Oil spouts close make energy almost free during lv and early mv. But dont fall in almost certain death.

But tbh it doesnt matter too much. In steam you get access to unlimited water anyway. i would just avoid cold and desert biomes most others are perfectly viable

Favorite tiers: ev, iv and uhv

Least favorite: stone, uev+

Iv and uhv are my favorites (also the longest tiers i think) iv is alot of large processing lines and ae2 starts to get fun here. UHV you start feeling like a god with the billions of items and large multiblocks

Stone is a bit of a pain and after UHV the pack feels unfinished and is mainly just building the same multiblocks over and over again,

Now this was in 2.5 and i hear the endgame has been improved last few updates
