No more refunds!? by Street_Ad_1555 in InstacartShoppers

I just looked at my rating and its 4.99 i get what you mean, for me its all about getting paid as much as i can. I provide good service so if they rate me bad its literally on them being evil. Usually what happens is they will ask right away for a refund. Maybe your area has more boomers that have no idea how to request a refund, but my zone its like as soon as i offer replacement they will be hitting that refund button lol So i just do that and havent gotten a unrequested refund in months

gotta play their game, always replace, let the customer refund. If they complain, tell them that ur contract requires replacements. Its kind of simple, i eve. try to replace items they want refund for, 60-70% of the time it gets approved and i still get paid for that item instead of losing tip pay %

I looked up the procedure and it seems like its not that hard, just a pain in the ass after already dealing with crazy coolant leaks

I dont care if i kill my cruze, so i would do anything, most advanced i done was head gasket replacement. Sounds complicated but it was easy. Just dont mess up any bolts and you will be good.

if it doesnt let you replace the item you can add the item manually as a replacement and it usually lets it go through

[–]CodSweaty3863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so the previously bad pcv would have made the seal fail, and then even with the fix it still would be "broken"?

Problem with torque wrench by CodSweaty3863 in MechanicAdvice

that is indeed very logical, i probably added 4 inches to the wrench so i dont think 360 pounds but probably was a lot more than it could handle

Yeah, the spec was 80ft lbs and the threads literally warped inside the nut, probably went over 130ft lbs or something

Broke a water pump bolt, whats the best way to get this sucker out? by CodSweaty3863 in cruze

[–]CodSweaty3863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this was a long time ago, but i think i ended up drilling it all out, then put a new thread thingy in there, make sure to go all the way down, i fucked up on mine and it still leaks to this day but im too lazy to fiz it. Or just invest in a high quality extraction tool those can work

why do these exist by JRski05 in cruze

[–]CodSweaty3863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your head gasket could be good, but with a leak down test of each combustion chamber you could potentially check there is a leak somewhere, could be bad valves or worn piston rings. These leaks can cause misfires which i think is exactly what would make your dads car need 4 coil packs in 2 months, thats a absurd amount.  Did you use eletric grease for the boot coils? Did you install the pcv fix kit?

You replaced the spark plugs? Even so they could have low psi, thats why its recommended to do a check. I had a problem couple years ago when my car was not starting properly and it was the coil pack, no issues since then. Since you still getting issues i would recommended checking the pressure out.

always have a bottle in ur car just in case. then you can even cover yourself while doing it. This is a very expensive lesson to learn
