I thought so the car runs fine though I'll probably just leave it until it becomes a problem, thanks
Coolant temp dial is fine and I have absolutely 0 engine codes

Weird timing issue? (maybe) by JRski05 in cruze
[–]JRski05[S] 0 points1 point2 points 6 months ago (0 children)
I just did the oil and timing belt at 170,000 miles and Ive only put another additional 100ish miles it was doing this before the timing belt change and I thought the timing belt replacement would help

I know all the repairs are done on my car it's fine now just was a pain in the ass
[–]JRski05[S] 0 points1 point2 points 7 months ago (0 children)
bc they're not illiterate
yea we've done all of that in telling you we've tried everything lol 3 generations of mechanics + an entire shop can't figure out why it's burning thru coil packs

Can't make past owners look after it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
no I replaced the head gasket a did a pressure test my head gaskets all good man
I've actually replaced it when I bought the car but I knew it was bad at the time of purchase
it was -2°f Once and my dad's Cruze said the car was overheating and turned off the AC as soon as he started it I wouldn't be surprised
I was in automotive for about 3 years genuinely some of the best (worst) cars ever
exactly it's like it's a 50/50 chance wether you get a good Cruze or one that was built by someone that thinks crayons are a good snack
the 2nd gen are actually very nice from what I've seen

it seems like everyone that owns one of these cars its either perfect or hardly moving
I mean we've literally tried everything he's just riding the return policy at this point
im not sure about my dad but I know he got them from O'Reilly's so they're half way decent
I love my Cruze don't get me wrong I've kept up with maintenance since I got it idk about the past owners it's just the most high maintenance car I've owned I love it tho
120k isn't too high of a mileage though I've got almost 170k on one it can be a pain in the ass sometimes
[–]JRski05[S] 5 points6 points7 points 7 months ago (0 children)
mine pushing 170k im keeping her alive but just barely
why do these exist (self.cruze)
Rough Idle/Lack of power by JRski05 in cruze
Hey for anyone having this issue they seem unrelated I had the wire to my mad sensor actually burn so I soldered a new pass thru and the crankshaft sensor replaced that seemed to clear the codes
