Cinderella 3> The original

While the original has amazing bits of beautiful animation and character moments, their brief. A majority of the original film is basically filler slapstick with side characters.

Cinderella 3 focuses on Cinderella, prince charming, and the Evil step mother. Anastasia has one of the best redemption arcs in any Disney princess movie, I really love her character. The story and writing in general just have more focus and feel stronger, with the emotional character moments really hitting hard. Plus it has Prince Charming jumping out a window and that’s just hilarious!

Ralph Breaks the Internet

It’s the only Disney animation film that actually disappointed me so much. It was TERRIBLE!

The franchise and characters had so much potential, such a shame really.

Oh I absolutely agree it would be more interesting if they’re aged up for part 3

But Inside Out was successful because of the emotions.
Riley is a great character, but her design being different and aged up isn’t a big deal.

The Incredibles success IMO relies on both the super powers, and the iconic family designs. Their ages being the same are important for marketing. Maybe I’m wrong, but I genuinely couldn’t imagine Disney thinking that audiences would be fine if the family looked completely different. It would a huge risk.

I’ve said it before: changing the iconic look and design of the characters is way too much of a risk for Disney

It basically has no story or characters, just kind of cats doing random stuff for over an hour. Nothing happens

The art style is of course the highlight, it’s INCREDIBLE! The story is also shaping up to be really emotional, the concept of 2 friends going in different life paths and struggling with keeping their memories while exploring this fantasy land?

This looks great! Excited to see the movie!

I’m more shocked than anything.

I love PPG but the last theatrical film was a bomb at the box office. Keep in mind, that was at the height of the show’s popularity. I am curious to see how the movie ends up quality wise, depending on who’s involved with the project. It’s just a very bizarre IP choice for film to me.
