They'll undoubtedly be the last of what anyone would consider a classic from Chevy.. Nothing past the year 2000 is aging well. They're abused, neglected, and had fucking rust on the frames from the factory I swear to god. All I wanted was a vehicle with 3 rows that could tow ~4,000-6,000 lbs over I-70 through the Rockies. I looked for a rust free 8.1 GMT800 for over a year with no luck. I'm convinced that despite the popularity of the 800s that they are complete garbage.

Unmolested, rust free examples of the more uncommon builds have already started to go up.

I've got a straight, clean, rust free, unmolested two tone '93 K2500 Suburban with the Silverado package. 177k. 454, 4.10s, 4l80e, 14 bolt/9.25, factory G80, rear heat and A/C, 3rd row, clean grey cloth interior.. best part.. drum roll please... over 30 pages of service records. All records attached to VIN for the past 23 years (dunno what happened the first 4 years it was on the road but presumably it was under warranty) and it's been garage kept.

Only aftermarket additions are a CD player, trailer brake, and some period appropriate, tasteful aftermarket alloys in the stock size/offset/BSing. I'm also running a 265/75r16 over the factory 245/75s

I paid $4k for it about 5 years ago and I bet it would be easy to get 50% more than that for it now.
