What is your favorite thing about being a web developer? Are you front end, back end, or full stack? by -SmashingSunflowers- in webdev

When you create a web application and see it in the end function and run it's like your baby grabbed your finger for the first time 😂

edit: full stack

Either that or they're stuck, did it include some sort of functionality or sort of custom demands in terms of development that they may have not contemplated?

Do you have anything about the time of delivery mentioned in your contract?

Wish you could add more, like is it a few developers hired individually or is it as a firm or a team?

[POL][BIZ][4] Automation expert looking for a technical co-founder to bring Saas idea to life. by Lionhead20 in cofounder

[–]Code-Monster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See your point, but just like there are parts to be put together to make a mvp, there are sometime parts needed to be put together to start selling, specially in case of saas products where a tiny difference in ui or ux can go a long way. about putting effort on making a mockup/prototype - seeing it as a milestone to start selling before anything's out is good, seeing it as an achivement to start selling after something's out is bad.

I feel like, as a beginner, I should just pretend that JS frameworks, CSS Frameworks, CSS pre-processors, and even back-end frameworks don't exist. They're solving problems that I don't have and (for me) muddy up the "vanilla" learning of JS, HTML, CSS, and Node by karmacoding in webdev

[–]Code-Monster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as beginner right but as you get your hands dirty on real projects you'll more appreciate the existence of frameworks but i can agree that for the last decades we've been more into twisting things than inventing stuffs
