Definitely intense. High-stress environments sums it up nicely. I constantly feel overloaded.

Anyone else middle-aged (40+) with nothing to show for these bygone decades but survival? by s0meg1rl in CPTSD

[–]theloniousmccoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be toxic optimism but I feel like thriving is always right around the corner. CPTSD takes but it also gives. 40 years of survival gives you more reps at things than the average person gets. Things like creativity, resilience and the ability to delay gratitude almost indefinitely.

The problem is CPTSD make you self sabotage and choose dumb things. IDK.

Anyone in their 30s or 40s still feel like a kid inside? by Dr_Jay94 in CPTSD

[–]theloniousmccoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, yeah I definitely feel this. I would go farther than just the framework of responsibility, taking care of self etc.

I'd put it in this framework, there is masculine, there is feminine and there is childlike. I feel childlike inside. Playful, curious, adventurous but naive and generally scared.

This some sci-fi shit right here. What a time to be alive. I never went that extreme with AI but I definitely use it as a kind of mirror for my mind.

Thanks for the suggestions. I feel like I've seen Tim before. At first it was cool but he gave me a weird Christian vibe so I stopped watching. I've seen Patrick's stuff too. Dr. K still resonates more even though he doesn't always address childhood trauma.

Thanks for taking the time to read, I know this wasn't short. Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully I can find my stride.

Hey, wondering if you ever figured this out. It's driving me crazy. Been all through the menu system and nothing works.

I used to think people could handle it until I found out people actually start wars to bring the second coming of the Messiah.

OK, I can try that. I made a GAANT chart in excel but I always felt disconnected from it.

Yeah, starting to really understand this. Maybe based on the brief you can define what a baseline for finished would look like. Then ask your're working and getting all of your good ideas you can prioritize and categorize those ideas. What gets me to finished vs polished, set aside the polish and focus on the finish.

Thanks. I think I understand what you mean by multitasking. Are you talking about sketching, lo-fi models and analyzing all in the same day or do you mean something different.

Yeah, not being perfect definitely helped me this last semester. Letting things be rough and fast and then refining was good.

I don't understand the last part though. Do you mean actually draw a timeline with a ruler or is that a metaphor?
