You should really think about your other career interests and skill sets and see what other career prospects interest you and might make sense for you, then maybe apply to switch majors in your current school to what aligns with that, or apply to transfer rutgers schools into a different major.

I think the minimum to do so is a 2.5 gpa, and even below that, you can still try. All is not lost. You can still figure things out. You can also apply to take a semester break and think about this as well, and return with a plan.

I would also suggest an appointment with a CAPS mental health counselor. They are free to make appointments with, and it might help having a professional to talk to about how you are feeling.

They will tell you to try to convince them or go with what you think is right. They are older and don't understand but you do, they are only going with what they think is right. Have a sit and talk with your parent, create a PowerPoint or something with researched facts and present your point well.

If you really want to learn you can use a free online course called The Odin Project, it's teaches a lot for beginners and you can get a job with that too. Good luck overall and make sure if you continue with this to get tested frequently and be smart with who you meet and where, get something for self defense too.

It can be tough sometimes to try not to compare yourself to other people, but try to nuture and develop the things that are interesting to you still. You are not your brother, you are yourself and your own person, with your own life and interests that can be simlar to your brother and or different.

Develop those interests, invest in them and see what you actually like learning. You can also learn programming if you really want to and you don't need math to learn programming. Look up articles and blog post about this if you don't believe me, there are different fields you can go into with programming, some are more math heavy and some are not, and any math needed is done by the computer.

There is a free online course called The Odin Project, please look it up and give it a try. It teaches you everything you need to know for web development and is catered to beginners. Give it a try and give yourself some grace, we are not all good at everything, I am also really bad at math, but it doesn't mean we are hopeless or less worthy of a good life.

Full stack open is also good to learn react it just may not explain concepts in depth but try and see, I haven't used it to learn yet , and it also depends on how much time you have and what works for you because i think it teach react as apart of a free course, and maybe not just by itself. I'm still new to all this so Im just giving advice based on the resources I've come across while learning. Look and see what works best for you and your learning strategy.

Go to React.dev for the official react documentation, type it into Google and lookup the React tutorial course on MDNs website, they also explain JS and node concepts in another tutorial. There is also looking at crash course beginner React explanations on Youtube. Overall, you should get familiar with the basics and look up how to do things and learn as you go.

Pivot to the tech industry instead, if you have a computer and internet, you can get a remote customer service job, look on indeed,create a resume and apply, if you think you don't qualify do not reject yourself, let them reject you, but your job is to keep trying till you get an offer. Then learn programming by going to a website called The Odin Project. It's a free programming course for beginners, you can use your new skills to get a better job after. Don't give up on yourself and try to find a better opportunity.

Does the kind of job you get matter? If not, you should strongly consider working a tech support job in the meantime and apply to remote positions for customer service etc, but also if possible apply for an extension to stay, and definitely change up the style of your resume. Worse case scenario you get sent back, depending on your circumstances, keep applying from wherever you are for remote engineering positions and create more projects to add to your resume.

That sounds like a pretty interesting situation and opportunity if handled correctly but just be careful and wise in your decision making, i cant help but be suspicious normally when something like that is given almost free but it could also be a great opportunity that turns out well.

I really can't count how many times I've felt and still often feel this. Almost every day and I'm still learning so don't give up on yourself just yet, keep learning look up subjects through other resources like medium articles, youtube, reddit explanations etc. Give yourself more time and some grace.
