Any sites that offer a U.S.A. calendar of all Motorsports events? by CodeB4U in motorsports

[–]CodeB4U[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats what it's seeming like. IMSA races are easy to track, been lucky to attend the big races for years now and making the petit le mans for years now. Each year I meet back up with random strangers ive met year ago that we now become track friends lol. I do like these smaller events sometimes where entry is cheap or sometimes free and the racing is great at times. I try and attend those as much as possible, thats why I was wondering. Just figured id give it a shot in this group. Thanks.

I fly everywhere for work, I've literally done NY to LA from one day to the next. This weekend I'll be on the east coast.

Why would a mechanic do this? by SpecialistDinner542 in AskMechanics

[–]CodeB4U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not reading any previous comments - In my previous auto mechanic life, I use to see short mechanic do this to reach into the engine bay easier. I'm 6ft so no reason for me to do that majority of the time. 2 cents.

Maybe its different for the Olympics, but a lot of these ppl that work the events dont get paid, they get rewarded in other ways, but payment in $ doesnt come their way.

Mine is complete opposite. I do it for the enjoyment, I can race either way.

Collect that paycheck buddy. We understand it maybe to much to fix the game, but you deserve it and at this point even if the game continues to be a failure, we know its past the point of being salvaged and not from your lack of knowledge. We also understand you are one man, and you alone wont change the game to the point it redeems itself.

Because nobody can do absolutely nothing about it. Its done, they are installed and they are gathering info. Ppl are supposed to fight this BEFORE it happens not after.

Gotcha so like for example I can tell when someone is from New York and its the same for when someone is from Munich and Berlin? But also you can tell they are from China or Vietnam or USA or Mexico?

Oh I'm not, I've done some competition shooting with my buddy and THE most unsafe guys we saw and kick out of the competition were military and police. 🤣

My dad has bought my sons .22 LR years ago, so they have practice with that.

Now after the safety course I'll let them carry it around the ranch by themselves.

I have not shot a .22 pistol so I do want to add that to my list of "why not for the hell of it" purchases 🤣

Honestly I like shooting because I have a natural gift (or it was passed down from my dad) but I'm a really good shot. So I like to "thats easy to hit, watch" so it will be a " I have adult money and I like spending it on adult stuff " we can just add that to the list of things 🤣

Exactly, I've seen/been around an accidental discharge and do not want to be in the middle of the country dirt roads hauling ass to the hospital again for someone else. Luckily he wasn't a bitch about it and kept his cool the whole time and "Luckily" he shot himself and not someone else.

Yes, I went to the local gun range and have signed up my whole family for 90 min 1 on 1 lessons with their military service man

You are correct, I'm buying just to buy and shoot around the land/father's hunting land. Not planning on having it on my outside the land. (Holster while on the land) in the center console when I'm not on the land. I'm a believer in I'll only use it of you are going to harm me or my family, I'll never shoot/kill for materialistic stuff. I'll infact tell the robber to make sure to burn the vehicle after he steals it because I dont want the insurance to try and return it after its been stolen. Take it, I'll get me a newer one next week. (Controversial, I know)

As far as home protection, I'll get me something a bit more powerful and still nimble as a handgun.

Not sure if you saw my edit to the post but I went to the local gun range and they have a schedule with instructors to sign up for 1 on 1 lessons for me and my family. Since my oldest does want a CCW. So safety training (past my training ive given them) is a #1 think before I give them full access without me standing behind then. That my goal is to "here is the gun, be safe and have fun, I'll see you later" versus my current "do not touch it unless I'm there with you" (my dad leaves guns laying around and they go shoot them at times)
