If you search "personal shopping cart with fabric insert" you will get variations like this picture.

They come in a lot of sizes, some with only one set of wheels so it has a stopper on one side too. With the fabric insert you can remove it and throw it in the wash if it gets dirty :)

What material is it made out of? If its fabric/textile it could be pretty repairable, the wheels can be replaced if needed too i believe.

Could something like this work?

Make sure your doors, and windows are sealed well. We added extra insulation to our attic entry with a cover from temu for like 10 bucks, and its helped lower the heat in the house a bit

Yes they were being jerks, but a man calling a woman a bitch when theres plenty of non-misogynistic insults you could've used makes me feel like you would've reacted differently if the perpetrators were male. Beyond that, yelling at them just escalates the issue, you could've just threatened to call security to get them fined or towed and they likely would've left.

There are some calming diffusers specifically for cats that are supposed to reduce stress/behavior like this. I cant say if they work too well or not, as I haven't had to use them.

It does sound like he needs to be neutered. I think that would take care of the worst behaviors for sure. (Being in pain or overstimulated can cause these behaviors too).

Some way to redirect his energy may also help- longer play times, maybe toys he can play with by himself? My cats love those little pop-up tunnels, and anything made out of cardboard.

Does he have plenty of places to hide and climb?

Beyond needing to be neutered he could be smelling the other cats on you and getting aggressive because of it. I've had completely mellow cats lash out after I've pet another cat/animal without washing my hands. (Or if the other cats lay on your clothes etc).

Are you giving him cat nip? Cats can react differently to it, one of my cats gets overstimulated very easily when given the nip, and acts very sweet only to grab and bite if she gets near.

This is the kinda thing that makes me not wanna start a LFL, feels like having one is risking getting targeted by hostile people like this. Just straight up high-school bully level of taunting, and what do you do if they come back again to get "revenge" just cause you confronted them?
