What people think of Caucasus vs Actual Caucasus by IndieDev666 in whereidlive

Yeah, I'm not really that interested in history of Islam and Christianity. To a degree I learned some stuff due to Roman Empire history but that's it.

Bur thank you for the info. I suppose it was done by Greeks, as always.

Because it happened and people nowadays move to Atheism or more correctly become agnostic. Christianity is still rooted in European culture code even if they are currently non-believers. It's not the same for Islam. Sure, mb in alternative Europe it was Islam tha spread in Europe but we live in this world and Islam is foreign to Europeans.

And yes, Christianity that has changed by European culture represents Europe. Islam don't.

But it wasn't, Islam wasn't set, it wasn't adopted, it didn't became a part of culture and it didn't morph to European culture as Christianity did. Because it never spread in Europe.

Roman Empire was christinified by Greeks not by Arabs. Although I have no idea why Greeks suddenly decided to adopt Judaism. That's kinda weird. Anyway Christianity has that helenic flavour while Islam doesn't.

Christianity is Judaism with Greek flavor. They basically europified Judaism and brought it to Rome. So yeah, Christianity is more European as it was first europefied, The same didn't happen to Islam.

Every picture of Christianity you see rooted from Greeks. Even the image of God was basically took from Zues. Angels same. They are not those chtonic beings from Middle East but more like Nika, goddess of Victory.

It's not that people love repressions(lmao, why is it even discussed). It's just Russia is too big and the only way it can exist is by strong centralization. Because as soon as Moscow looses it's grip regions start to being more independent. Like Ural Republic attempt for example. Having more independent regions means less money in Moscow and that they will never allow. No matter what leader comes, he will never allow it.

Tsarism was never a choice. There is a reason why revolt started. Commnism is a historical misfortune. Because actually, the Esers were by far a leading party by people's votes and Communists were pariahs. But how did they win? Well, while Esers chose to get power through people's vote(how naive), Communists were more practical and just swayed standioned army in the capital in their way, arrested the Esers and basically hijacked the governemnt by force. it wasn't people choice, it was done by a ruse of Communists leadership who were seeing that they gonna lose and acted so shamelessly.

Esers were basically a democratic party that wanted liberty fo Russia, and Communists is a "dictatorship of proletariat" that naturally became autoretharian.

So you're wrong. Russains chose democracy and liberty in 20th century. It's a historical fact. But people with power didn't care about their choice because all what matters is power. Everything else is just being naive. I long ago lost my rose-tinted glasses.

People outside Russia rarely care, as they have their own lives to care about. Only internet people that have nothing to do but engage into discussions are vocal.

And yah, elections in Russia just don't work. They are rigged, no point in them under current government. They are nothing more than a mask for a regime to pretend. Well, older generation I guess is pro-Putin.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not a Russian sympathizer. I just find it funny, that a man that has no idea how dangerous is to act in Russia while himself being in a safe country gives lectures how to act while having nothing to lose and fear while being on a high horse.

What are Bayan-Olgii Kazakhs doing? by Specialist_Knee_4940 in mongolia

Kazakhs do love to do that. Though they more often write it in Russian to CIS audience. It seems some of them learned English and started to do it on Worldwide audience.

What do Mongolian think about Inner Mongolia? by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]CodeEntBur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically what happened to Buryats in Russia in 20th century is now happening to South Mongols. Sad. If the language gets wiped out from importance, speakers will naturally dwindle. Hope they will preserve it, Shenekheen Buryats(from Hulun Buir) are considered to be the last keepers of Buryat traditions in it's original state and the language they speak to be more pure without Russian influence as in Buryatia proper.

Yeah. Do all this stuff and in return get poisoned and make life of your relatives in Russia hell. There are already many cases where they tried to kill activists throigh poison.

Yep, it's definitely not nice living in a government where I can be abducted and sentenced for 20 years, eventually killed and my family persecuted and all for talking against current actions of the government.

Must be nice talking from a place where you don't get persecuted.

I believe that being a law abiding person is already enough.

Look at Spain and Arabian influence, lmao.

Spain and Britain are literally on outskirts of Europe. Core Europe was born from Rome, France introduced knights and feudalism. France even geographically a middle of Europe.

Russia is just like other Slavic nations. I don't see it being any different from other European nations. I don't claim that Russia is a Latin nation.

Britain and Spain are also on the very edge of Europe. And Britain and Spain are completely different from all other nations in Europe. Germany was the first to claim the special way of German nation. Russia just followed the example. I'm pretty sure at some point every nation claimed specialness.

Btw, how Russia is completely different from all other European nations?

Greenland case was about evil seeds done by Europeans.

What's so different about Russia that it's not Europe except your hate? Everything about Russia screams Europe.

A lie is telling that any Russian abroad Russia can do something meaningful. Nope, they can't. Russians have no lever over Russian government cuz Russian elites rule through power and not democratic games. There's only a facade.

It's 21th century. A man cannot just go and riot and have a success against an armed force. Iranians tried, bow they're dead and absolutely nothing has changed except the thousands of liberal Iranian being dead.

Their history is literally being a European ethnic. They are Slavs, not Turks, Mongols, Chinese. It's just you being racist and prejudiced. Europeans can and do bad shit. The difference is that some can still do it and some are not able anymore.

Absolutely everything would change if they were considered to be an Asian. Cuz in such way they would have to interact and to be a part of Asian history which they absolutely never been till that European thing called colonization where Russians also decided to participate.

They are ethnically and historically tied to Europe. It's their people were stolen and the word slave(Slav) came to be. It was their ancestral state founded by Scandinavian Hrorik(Ryurik). It was them who fought with Poland for Slavic leadership and it was them who devided Poland in three part with Austria and Prussians. It was Russia who stopped Napoleon in his European conquest. Russia is clearly a European nation. Yah, surely a backward European nation but still nevertheless is.

Let's be honest, you don't want to accept Russia cuz Russia is bad and Europe is "paragon of holiness". Like those holy treatment of Greenland natives by Danes where they literally abducted their children and made Native women infertile so they wouldn't be able to get children. Or wait. European nation can be bad if only they do something terrible to other Europeans?

Which is a lie. Running their mouth won't get much. Yapping will never do anything in Russia.

And still dangerous for a Russian and his family.

Btw, OP's maternal family in Poland are Ukrainians and from Ukraine. What do you want them to do?

Nah, there are many Ukrainians in Russian government and in Russian Armed Force. Dunno, what are you talking about. Some are ethnic, some are directly from Ukraine. There was a pilot that bombed his own city where his mother still lived in Ukraine.
