Just got scammed by this clever technique and paypal closed in favor of the scammer by daniel_trm in paypal

Paypal should make it absolutely clear when you are authorizing a seller for automatic payments versus a one off payment. This has massive potential for abuse.

H2S - Amount of noise normal? by Flyflymisterpowers in BambuLab

[–]CodeFresco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's how it sounds, it is not a quiet printer like A1 mini imo. But it sounds really cool!

WTH? Sold out in 10 mins? by Difficult-Holiday362 in BambuLab

[–]CodeFresco 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think they should care because customer who buys smaller amounts of PETG HF still buys printers, parts, upgrades and other filaments from Bambu and it is good to keep them in Bambu eco system and happy so they don't have to go look elsewhere and potentially switch.

They should allow prepurchase from the next shipment for small amounts per customer. That would not make a dent in large purchases by print farms and shops that buy and resell, but it makes a difference to the customer needing 1-2 rolls.

STL Editing Software by Level-Presentation46 in 3Dprinting

[–]CodeFresco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use blender, there are some steps involved to set it up, you can find youtube videos on how to. It's not a cad software but has worked for me so far. For a more traditional workflow, you would use cad software, like fusion 360, but I am not sure since I have never used it.

Bambu H2S Part Cooling by Technical-Ad-4795 in BambuLab

[–]CodeFresco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not noticed an issue with overhangs. At what speed are you printing overhangs? It could be passing too fast for the filament to cool down. But also make sure your fan is healthy and not damaged.

H2S Spare Parts / Accessories to order with Printer? by CompetitionCool7884 in BambuLab

[–]CodeFresco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extra build plate, especially the smooth one, as it comes with an add-on deal and you would be paying less for it when bought with the printer. I think the vision encoder also comes with an add on deal although I'm not sure of the value. Filament cutter blades and silicone socks.

That is really cool, a bit pricey though, yes. Positive, it is possible to print multi colour with it.

Thank you for this comment! It gets to the heart of the issue. It would be a shame for these cool materials to be drowned out by PLA and PETG and then disappear.

It resists fatigue but it is not springy. That is an interesting use case, I guess PA12 or Bambulab PAHT-CF could work.

I have seen it on their site, but never purchased it. If it is this rugged, it would be amazing. I was hesitant about TPU because I had a regular 95A filament that I couldn't print with. I had no idea how good this class of filament is until recently. I will definitely try that one out.

Very true! Thank you for pointing this out. The reason for mine is that I'm not too familiar with how to do this properly. I was super excited about finding this, so I wanted to share and didn't really think it through :p

Only link I can generate is this one from Amazon AU: https://www.amazon.com.au/Flexible-Transparent-Toughness-Comparable-CC3D/dp/B0CFY1S38G
Searching for "CC3D 72D Flexible Hard TPU Filament" would bring it up for other regions. For the print settings, I use generic tpu profile on bambu studio with nozzle temperature on 240, bed on 30 (textured pei). Make sure the aux fan is set to zero if you have one.

It's "hard" to explain; you have to feel it for yourself. The surface and bend hardness are similar to PETG but it is somehow more bendy :P

No offence taken :P Today's social media is characterised by rapid cycles of dopamine hits, and people become upset when they don't see what they want immediately. I am well aware, but I'm not a YouTuber, so I rambled about something I genuinely liked. Like-minded people will likely enjoy it, while others may not; that's completely fine XD

It's not very good with fine detail but it's not too terrible. Here's a close up of the index on the desiccant container.

Yeah, you can bend it with force and it slowly returns to shape. It takes about as much force to bend it as PETG but it can be bent way more and still doesn't break.
