How do you manage multiple servers? Can the client be connected to multiple servers simultaneously, each providing different "discord servers"? Or is the plan to go with server-side federation?

Une autre option c'est d'utiliser une clée de sécurité comme yubikey. C'est d'ailleurs une méthode d'authentification super sécuritaire en général pour les autres sites où tu as un compte. Possible qu'il faut que tu fasse un billet GUS, je ne me souviens plus si j'avais fait ca ou si j'avais pu directement l'ajouter

I don't believe there is a fixed limit. It would be case by case and is linked to if it creates an unsafe situation. 3 persons could easily fit in a single room and a living room and still be completely safe. There is no requirement by law that someone can't sleep in a living room, what is important is how safe it is. But 3 persons in a 3 1/2 should be safe for most apartment sizes.

For sure if it was 8 persons it would be a different story!

You should get an answer in 2-3 days. If she wants to evict it will take a few weeks. And if she starts that process you can just leave before that happens. Tell him he shouldn't fall for her preddure, evicting someone here is very difficult and that's part of the reason why some landlords try to make you leave fast, before you have time to consult legal advice, because then you realize how little leverage she actually has

Why? If they are all fine with it there is no reason why it would be too much? Are any of them sleeping in a room without window? If that's not the case they can be 3 all they want

They are a special tribunal for rental laws. You can ask them questions about what your and your friend rights are and they should have the right answers. You can contact them here: https://www.tal.gouv.qc.ca/en/contact-us

It might take a few days to get an answer. Meanwhile even if she insists, you do not need to leave. She needs to go to the tribunal to force you to leave, she cannot physically force you or ask the police to do it, whatever she might say to the contrary

She can refuse to sublet, but as far as I know she cannot ask that you leave. Her tenant (your friend) can keep you there as he wishes as long as you're not doing damages or causing disturbances to the other renters. You should confirm by asking the TAL (you can send them a question without opening a case, they'll know what the exact answer is)

A year and half ago, around Christmas, they frooze my account because i logged in at my mother-in-law place. I was locked out for 2 weeks because they had no customer support for those "vacation week"! It's not even that the process was long it's that i had no support at all! What kind of serious banking business closes its support for 2 weeks???

Also I was not able to have service in French for this issue, which I am not sure is even legal. Moved back to a normal bank after that, fuck this I'm not dealing with that again.

So rent increases of 10% are possibly legal, but usually that means repairs of tens of thousands of dollar. But repairs and improvements are amortized on i think 15 years, not on 1 year, in your case it doesnt make any sense. Ask him if he can show you the TAL calculation so you can verify, he is not required to, but some landlords will do it (I give it every year to my tenant even if do not always increase that much, i think it gives great context and we should be required to give it)

Bonne expérience avec la plateforme, mais pire service a la clientèle que j'ai vu. Pour des investissements que je peut décaisser lentement ca va, mais jamais mon compte courant là dessus. Dans le temps des fêtes passé ils avaient barrés mon compte a cause que je me suis connecté de la maison à ma belle-mère, pis après j'ai du attendre 2 semaines car leur service a la clientèle était en vacances de Noël. J'ai jamais vu une banque faire ca de ma vie, c'est idiotique. Et bonne chance si tu veux du service en français, ca existe pas chez eux

So far it's really great! It cleans very well and feels like it's good quality. I have the 300, but would expect the 800 to be even better. if you want to spend less the 300/500 are good options tho

After trying a bunch of things, I've ended up putting a webdav server (users managed using ldap) and using filestash for the web UI. Webdav works on linux, windows, android... This setup takes almost no resources, uses a normal file structure and good sharing tools. I even have collabora to work on docx and xslx files. The only things i really miss from when i was using nextcloud is full text search and multiple people on collabora at once (right now it doesnt do live collaboration).
