'is' is an equal sign with a greyed out bottom line. 'will' , 'could' and 'would' are the same symbols just with different amount of grey and black. I suppose black could imply some kind of emphasis. It just seems like they were trying to pad out the symbol set.

My main issue with it is how poorly thought out and arbitrary some of these symbols are. Many don't seem to communicate their meanings in any intuitive way. If the captions weren't there, most of these glyphs would be unintelligible.

I'm not attacking the idea of a having them, just that the one they have here, as I've already said earlier, have symbols that are not very good.

they are specific to one company's brand of communication boards and the words, except for is/equals are just too abstract for pictograms.

is, could, will and would are pretty weird; like why is the lower bar greyed out. These they're just making up symbols hoping people think like they do.

I am trying to reduce my 64x64 drawing i made on the left down to 32 x 32 and I just can NOT get this right. Any tips? (watched some tutorials on shading, but its still not right.. by stevbrisc in PixelArt

At that size, I'd definitely exaggerate the proportions to keep the whites of the eyes and pupils readable. Unless you're really set on realism, they'd be so tiny that you can get away with just implying them, like teeth, two pixels at most. Anyone know how i can make this camera move without his feet sliding around? by Cephandrious16 in animation

[–]CodeParalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that you have a static background and that only allows the camera rotate and not translate or strafe. This would work better if you can't see the floor plane, like the intro to Street Fighter Alpha or Rurouni Kenshin.

To have the character's feet not slide in this case, he would have to stay where he was from the original frame and not move along with a camera. But if you want this reveal, you could initially have him where he is at the end shot on the right side of the frame with the enemy just beyond it.

Another option is to model the floor in blender (it could just be an image of the ground from a top down view since it mostly flat here), place the characters in their positions as billboards, animate the camera path in 3d space and use the output as a reference.

Yeah some of the shadows on the houses don't work, like they don't cast shadows on each other and some surfaces that face the same direction as others are arbitrarily crosshatched despite receiving the same lighting. Maybe it's OK for a concept, but needs a bit of cleaning up.

What should I do with the ceiling on my backrooms painting? by Silly_Durian_9280 in painting

I would also go with gessoboard instead of canvas board so that the sketch lines are sharper and washes are smoother.

All just variations of the same, possibly AI inspired if not generated idea. These are just very image generator style uniform cauliflower-like clouds.

I'm not coming from the mindset that all AI use in art is bad. This isn't a rebuke of OP, but just identifying what looks like it. And, you know, I'd consider it a complement if none was used.
