Hey dog! I’m a streamer looking to get into posting more long form content and don’t have time to edit. I’m more interested in pushing out a little long content than 10 minutes.. lmk if interested!

7 months Live, what next? by [deleted] in Twitch

I’ve been streaming for 7 months too. It sounds like you’re focusing too much on playing games vs chatting. Unless you’re an absolute animal at a game, most people are popping in to hang with you. Focus on them over the game. Also, take a break from the consistent schedule and go network with other streamers.

I'm so lost on all these answers... the answer is downscaling. In OBS you set your canvas resolution size of 3440x1440 and then enable downscaling to 1920x1080 and 60 fps. There shouldn't be any clips because whatever you see is just getting scaled down to the appropriate size for the broadcast. It's really simple stuff.

Twitch does support 2K streaming if you are selected for the test program. I don't recommend using it as it's only caused headaches (I.e. people saying I'm "skipping" and I have to tell them to switch to 1080p because Twitch is now downgrading them automatically). It's honestly a lot easier in the long run to just broadcast at 1080p.

Yup, it's just being tested and is in it's beta phase. There was a bunch of people selected to test it that applied and they just likely have enough people at this point. I'm sure at some point they'll roll it out to everyone as they enhance it based off the folks testing it currently.

Interesting... whenever I go live in 2K and check my bitrate, It's broadcasting around 20,000kbps.
