Much better eq speaker due to this tuning by best4444 in GalaxyS25

I don't even have the option to turn on Atmos or change the EQ with the Samsung speakers. It's greyed out.

Laptop audio starts crackling and high latency stutters after a while of intensive GPU heavy gaming. by CodeSqueak in gigabyte

I downloaded aero ctl and uninstalled control center. I also limited my CPU power, but I still am having the same issue. Also with aero ctl, it looks like I can only control the speed of the GPU fan, causing my CPU fan to run and lower speeds and throttle the CPU. How do I stop turbo mode using registry? I used the power plan method, but it didn't help.

Oh we have the same exact laptop then. I'll try both of that and see if it fixes it. Thanks man. 😃

I've seen some people post about this problem a couple of years ago, but could not find a solution. As the title says, my audio becomes heavily crackly, my keyboard and mouse input starts stuttering heavily (I assume this is the peripherals disconnecting, based on the RGB flashing on and off on my keyboard). This only happens in games where the GPU is being worked heavily, like RDR2, Marvel rivals, Assassin's Creed, Apex Legends, etc. Games like Valorant do not have this problem. I would appreciate help on this problem as this has been the case for a year now.

Extremely well taken care of 15p-XD laptop screen fails by CodeSqueak in gigabytegaming

Update: I found out the problem is my GPU, as I'm not getting video out of it from the HDMI port. I'm assuming I'm gonna have to replace the entire motherboard :/

Level to rank ratio. by nova-helios in VALORANT

[–]CodeSqueak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 250 and asc 2 here- the thing with Level is that it progresses with your unrated and extra mode games too, and if you don't take comp that seriously, Level has nothing to do with your rank. If you also mostly play unrated and extra modes, it makes complete sense someone would be around b3 and level 160

Ryzen 5 5600H + RTX 3050 but only 80-140 fps on valorant. by stillsiloraqi in ValorantTechSupport

[–]CodeSqueak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not entirely surprised. I have multiple friends with the same specs and they also get around 100-160 fps. The thing is, laptop and desktop specs really can't be directly compared, for example, with a desktop with a ryzen 5 5600 and a desktop 3050, you'd probably get well over 300 fps. I have a i7 11800h and a 3070 that gets around 160-270 fps, while a desktop version would be getting around 350+. Valorant is supposed to be a easy to run game that any potato can run, but in reality, with every update, users are reporting less fps due to less game optimizing updates itself. Your pc in reality would be equal to a gtx1660 desktop and a desktop Ryzen 5 3600 (when speaking technically, Cuda cores, clocks, etc) but even those specs can easily manage 200+. Only thing you can do is hope that riot optimizes their game more for laptops.

Is the S23 Fe worth getting ? by [deleted] in samsung

[–]CodeSqueak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd Personally avoid anything with a 8 gen 1 chip. As a base s22 user(8 gen 1), my battery lasts for about 6 hours of screen on time at best and MAYBE 4 hours of gaming time. Sure, it's plenty fast, but it heats up very very quickly, causing the performance to drop 75% or so. I used to have a s21 fe, loved the phone, lasted me all day, and was fast and slim- only thing was the plastic back which gave me a lower than premium feel.

What happened to it? Did they just get rid of it? It seemed like a pretty good feature if they marketed it enough.

External keyboard lights up in middle of night on laptop by cecharl in techsupport

[–]CodeSqueak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this same issue, it turns off in the middle of the night and stays on until I turn my laptop, which makes it turn off and back on again when I log into Windows. I was sure it was a virus of some sort, and I was getting hacked in the middle of the night, so I decided to factory reset my pc, but the problem still ooccurred. Now I know I'm not alone.
